Nothing in particular
Rooms are caves. Extremely hot
The one of staff in reception who worked in 30th July about 6:30pm is very impolite and impatience .
It was a cheap hostel in an okay location and I was able to sleep in it.
Bit run down, staff weren't too friendly, mattress was awful, poor facilities
Staff was nice and helpful. Good location, with a tube station 5 mins walking distance.
Bathrooms were dirty and some of them out of order. There was more than 25 people in my floor and only 2 toilets for all of us. There was a queue for the shower everyday. The rooms were very small and uncomfortable.
There was free breakfast, but it was just milk and cereal or toast and jam. The staff was friendly and they had maps and events.
The beds were small and triple bunk-beds.
Energy points near the beds do not work, the rooms are extremely tight and the internet signal not available in the rooms.
Biggest problem was the usage of shower room. The closest one was out of order, so everyone needed to use the other one, and it seemed that staff did nothing to repair the other one. So imagine that this is the hottest day of the year, and you can't possible have a shower, only after waiting like half an hour. Not joking. Beds were 3 levels, and there were 3 of them in a 4x4 room. I know that dormitory rooms are crowded, but that was a bit too much. A ventilator was on, but if in the middle of the night it gets faulty, people are just running out of oxygen and dies! Really can't see how this can be legal. There was hardly enough space in fridge, and it didn't really make too much sense to put your staff on there as due to the limited capacity, your food won't get cooled down properly. All in all London Eye might have been am acceptable place if they wouldn't aim to squeeze twice as people as the hostels actual capacity is.
Staff both Rodrigues and supervisor were extremely kind and helpful, friendly and respectful, cheery and sweet. The room was tiny but not cell-like, roommates were quiet and unobtrusive.
Breakfast: I had to do it myself Yuch!
It's all about the price! The hostel is in waking distance of some of the major sights (if you're not lazy), and the price is really cheap considering the location. The place is clean and they provide 2 computers with Internet access for free, plus a TV to watch movies.
Some of the staff! One in particular was completely unhelpful and unfriendly. The other guy was ok though, although he gave me wrong advice about transport (bus number, train timetable, etc.) Also there are only 3 toilets and one working shower for many many guests. The dorm felt crammed, but it's only for sleeping, so it doesn't matter that much. That being said, it is cheap...
Staff were not so friendly. Need to queue rather long for using the bathroom. Wifi is unstable.
The staff was not friendly and helpful. I forgot to bring a towel, so I asked for one from the reception, they said will charge me 5 pounds to buy a used towel, and they claimed that those are new towels, unbelievable. No windows in the bedrooms, very hot and stuffy. The room is very very small, there are barely any space for us to put our bags on the floor. The bed was dirty, there was used tissue paper on my bed. I booked for 3 nights in a female dorm, but then they decided to move me to a mixed dorm after the first night, this was unacceptable. The staff did not apologise and said "I did not do make this change." I had a very hard time in this hostel, I couldn't bare the conditions and the way that was treated. I had to leave and look for another place after the first night.
The location is OK, near Waterloo station.
Three bathrooms for over 100 residents, imagine what it might be in the morning. Small kitchen, limited space. Not a desirable choice.
At least 20 people sharing only 2 shower rooms per floor which is completely nonsense. Worst, the showers are out of service.
Staff not always friendly at all. Common space extremely noisy because of the TV. Dorms very small: 15 people in one small, hot and smelly rooms. Only 2 showers and 1 WC for several rooms of 15 people! Quite cheap, but wouldn't recommend it.
Very helpful staff, good breakfast
Just one bathroom for the entire floor; the building is pretty old and not that very well located, depending on the point of view
Close to Thames; Good transport links; Able to book last minute with no fuss.
Other guests clearly not vetted properly - a very bad night with a guest who needed to be taken away by police
Hot in room
This hostel was awful and dirty. The shower was full of black mold, and the toilet seat was missing. It was loud and there were no screens on the window so bugs flew in the room at night. This place was disgusting and I was extremely disappointed. I wouldn't recommend this hostel to anyone and I am disappointed I spent my money here.
staff was friendly
nothing except the location.
Breakfast, rooms, bathrooms and the internet sucks.
the location is quite hard to find and the faciliies are also not good enough
lack of natural light. Horrible toilets and wash basins. People packed in like sardines.
