The reception we had when we arrived and advice on best way to get to our terminal and our breakfast was very good at such an early time for our flight. Very nice people.

The noise from the planes going overhead but we did get some sleep.

If we had been flying from Heathrow, it would have been ideal as it is right at the end of the runway and under the flight path. There is a lovely long back garden which you can sit in and admire the aeroplanes but this novelty wears off when trying to sleep in in the morning. The owners were pleasant and the full English breakfast was a nice touch. It is a basic guesthouse and pricey for what it is. We were there for a party and only in this hotel due to our previous one cancelling and not telling us about it.

If you want to be close to the airport and affordable, then book it. There are various rooms from ensuite to shared bathroom facilities. The owner was very helpful and always around to offer assistance. Nice full English breakfast.

Right under flight path and novelty of aeroplanes wears off at 6am when you are trying to sleep.

Great service and hospitality, it felt like you had been taken into their family home. Just wonderful, couldn't have helped more. Bent over backwards to do anything. Lovely couple.

Location - off the beaten track and accessible to major calling points in the area. Nice, comfortable bedroom

Breakfast was advertised as full, but I was there for Sunday breakfast, and with a 500 mile round car journey that weekend a full English breakfast would have really helped me along. On arrival I was told there was no chef in attendance, so breakfast would be self service continental. There were no staff in attendance at breakfast, help yourself to some things from the fridge and an expectation (written notice) to rinse your own dishes and put them in the dishwasher (in the next door kitchen) is stretching things too far for me. You are a guest house, not a large hotel chain. Clearing table policies are for chains like Holiday Inn Express, not for Guest Houses - please help us to feel like guests, not part of the workforce that you couldn't arrange to pay for an hour or two to look after us at breakfast. Overall did not meet my expectations I'm afraid.

    Nothing

Tired, scruffy. Kept awake from 2am, during heavy rain, by water dripping through the ceiling onto the carpet and into the shower tray. In the morning the carpet was sodden and there were water stains down the walls. Still have not received the VAT receipt I requested.

you can go to make yourself a proper cup of tea with real milk from the fridge anytime you like.

It's on a flight path, this is OK in the winter when windows stay shut but this trip the room was boiling and I had to open a window. Couldn't even hear the TV up load as the planes came over every five minutes till about 11o'clock at night. Never take a room at the front of the house in summer.
