We greatly enjoyed our stay. We chose the hotel because of its location and because we were looking for a luxurious place to stay because of a special occasion. The location was superb by Westminster Bridge almost opposite Big Ben. Our room and the hotel as a whole was very comfortable and had a relaxed but purposeful atmosphere and we were pleased that our request for a room with river views was met. We could not fault the staff from the point of view of their attentiveness to our needs and courtesy. A memorable stay. There were two points about staffing I would make. 1 We could not help but notice that with the exception of one doorman none of the staff were native English speakers. This meant that when we asked for some more milk cartons for our room tea they didn't appear to fully understand. We had to ask three times before they brought milk, which came in a jug. 2 The reception seemed to be understaffed at the time we were trying to get into our room. We were about 20 minutes late getting in. Our room wasn't ready and they were slow, because of volume of business, in getting back to us while we waited in reception.

Great location, very easy walk to all major attractions. Some confusion on check in with our booking, we told we would be given a river view upgrade for free...! The room 217 turned out to be right behind the London eye, it was noisy and people on the eye looked straight into our room, it was also very small and a long walk to a lift. The rooms on that end of the hotel, from 230- 216 are all affected by the London eye, and very noisy from people outside.

Large rooms for London The lesser expensive room have little light and view on a roof/wall...not on the Thames

The views and locations of this hotel are fantastic Just the ideal location for a trip to London Breakfast the bacon had been cooked and kept warm not the sort of thing you would expect from a hotel of this standard

Where should I start - it was truly magnificent. Eating a perfect breakfast overlooking the Thames, the wonderfully comfortable bed, strolling home across Westminster Bridge each evening, the incredibly polite and friendly staff (nothing too much trouble), the pool, bathroom, the library - everything was just right. I can't praise this hotel highly enough and it will definitely be my first choice in future. Didn't have the afternoon tea (served in the library with magnifiecent view of Thames, Big Ben etc) but plan to remedy that very soon when next meeting with 'the girls' on our frequent shopping trips.

Employees of the hotel are very attentive and competent. The view of the river Thames is delightful and cozy. I had great difficulty in making payment in advance of stay, as is my custom. There were numerous exchanges of emails and unnecessary, in my view, to get your payment. The bathrooms need to be modernized because they are not at the level of a 5 star.
