Our rooms were not ready which was fine because we were there before check in. I asked if there was a quiet room available where I could perform a prayer- first answer was 'no', then after some explaining my disappointment being a 4 star hotel who could not accommodate their guests I was eventually given a quiet area in the restaurant.
Location, the comfortable beds and the size of the room.
We found the area and general people in the area a little daunting.
The hotel itself was faultless.
Ideal location for visiting family. Staff very nice and accommodating with requests made
No free Wi-Fi,
Cleanliness, staff, location
Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful
The room and bed was lovely
Aircon couldn't switch to cold Was very hot Window not able to open like in jail So I had to open door In corridor -Noisy cleaner hoovering First wish it's just to run out of room outside to get fresh air Never ever want to Pay for this jail again !!!! I don't want this souna even for free
The pillows were to soft also we didn't like having a connect ing door as this room is for families
It was a comfortable and friendly hotel the staff was friendly
However 2 items rendered my stay less than ideal and in fact put me off visiting that hotel again. 1. On arrival at reception the young man and lady on reception didn't look up or acknowledge my arrival with my wife (there was nobody else at reception at the time.) After a good minute the young man simply said "Checking In ?" and proceeded to check us in in a perfunctory manner. Not once did he say anything like "Welcome". Nor did he acknowledge us as Mr & Mrs Barling. He questioned/challenged "That's room only?" ...which our tarriff was...interestingly he never even tried to upsell and say we can offer you breakfast...or morning papers....or an early morning call...indeed he never asked if there was anything he could do to help or make our stay enjoyable. That is why if we were upgraded I wouldn't actually know. I can honestly say it was the most unwelcoming, uncaring and unprofessional check in I have ever encountered. He needs training - maybe from the excellent young man on Concierge duty [15:30 pm]. 2. There was no hot water to wash/shower with on Sunday!! Incredible for a reputable hotel. When I told reception her initial reaction was incredible " I guess everyone ran showers at the same time"!!!!! Really? Anyway she did talk to the duty manager and gave a 10% credit on our bill. The point is 10% is paltry when a guest cannot perform a basic function - washing/showering. Hopefully you will sort the problems out at this venue as I have not experience the same issues at other of your hotels.
I think I was upgraded to an Executive room and it was most spacious and comfortable.
Air con wasn't very cold, felt very warm through the night, but didn't really affect our stay
Very easy to find and close to station, access to health club round the corner was a nice touch, staff very friendly and professional, room was great, bed was so comfy and great value for money! Would use again.
Too far from Big Bus Tour in Marble Arch. Must use taxi to go there
Walking from Marble Arc to Marriot Maida Vale like in Arab Country. Almost all store with Arab name. You will see many Arabic from all middle east country smoking Sisha anywhere along the street with Lamborghini and Ferarri parking not far from the sisha restaurant.
Staff very unhelpful and unpleasant - we had a breakfast included in our booking but they 'couldn't see it on the system' and demanded we pay again. Make sure you have the confirmation email with you! We managed to find the email, they didn't even apologise for the inconvenience! Also - for some reason they charged my card with £50 extra for 'emergency consumption' which will be refunded if you do not have any.... it was refunded but it sent me into unauthorised overdraft and was not mentioned anywhere during the process of booking or in the confirmation email.... beware!!!
Breakfast buffet was great - good choice and very tasty; bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable We only stayed one night so cannot comment on other facilities.....
Low quality breakfast
Good service and polite staff
Staff were ultra courteous and made us very welcome. Comfortable room and super clean.
Leisure centre only available by going outside and then round the block. Saunas not very good and the pool was only 'ok''
Good deals in the restaurant. Good value kids meal. Breakfast was good.
We were all very disapointed with hte quality of the breakfast. Some of the food was cold and the bacon was so dry it was extremely chewy. W e had to wait for the toaster to work along with everyone else, eventually they replaced it!!!e
The quite room on a higher floor which is what we had requested.
TV made a strange high-pitched noise (even though it was turned off) which kept me awake most of the night. There was a strange pill and some coins under the chair indicating the room wasn't cleaned. There were also patches on the side of the bed. One of the doors to the cabinet was missing.
Room was very spacious and bedding was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful at reception and in the restaurant.
The lie about free Wifi. Couldn't log on and desk staff told us we needed to pay £10. Very unusual to have compulsory high charge for wifi these days. Would choose alternative hotel next time.
Good breakfast bar. Attentive staff
Didn't have breakfast in the hotel as it was £18 per person. Staff wouldn't dry clean my daughters coat even though she'd been sick and it was the only one we had with us. Food in restaurant disappointing. Temperature in bedroom far too hot even when turned off.
Near to tube. Spacious and clean bedroom.
Room was comfortable, apart from the fridge not working and there being an awful aroma when opened :-(
The hotel staff were extremely helpful and polite
Bedroom facilities very tired looking. Bathroom had black mould around the bath. Bathroom floor had ominous looking drip marks around the toilet. Towels great if you want to exfoliate! Cooked breakfast only luke warm. Pool in a separate building. No milk in room for tea and coffee.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Close to tube station.
Didnt have a bad experience although as with all hotels you have to pay a deposit. Had to pay £50 deposit per night or you have to verify if you have a credit card
Me and my boyfriend stayed over the valentines weekend and really enjoyed our stay. Room was a great size and the bed was super comfy, had everything I needed
Not having the opinon of having a late check out
The massive bed, quiet room and it was so relaxing!
Very rough area of London. Pool was in a leisure centre away from the hotel, so didn't go. Staff weren't good and service was very poor. Would never go again.
