The room was ok - the furnishings were a bit shabby, but that's expected in 'budget' hotels.
There is basically no sound proofing in this hotel. The road noise was constant, with Inverness Terrace a busy road. Internally, every sound from neighbouring rooms could be clearly heard - conversations, tv, kitchen sounds, hair dryers etc etc. This was the worst noise level I've ever experienced in any hotel!
I didn't like the fact that there's no lift/elevator in the building I stayed and we had to carry our heavy luggages to level 3. They could have put that in the description as a warn. Especially when i travelled with an elderly it was really difficult. Tried asking them to change a room in ground floor but they won't let me although I was told a room would be available the next day.
Was right next to Hyde Park Right near metro Able to store bags after checking out
Noisy if on bottom floor No notes about wifi even though available couldn't log in
Location was perfect Apartment was a good size Bed was comfy
The Pillows were not the best - very lumpy
the location is great, near to underground, shops & supermarkets, bars, cafes - its all on the next street. the apartment was good and had all the essentials for a short stay. The cool air fan was a bonus as the apartment was very warm
3 flights of stairs, but thats my age. The apartment could benefit from a bit more property managment. While very clean, there was an undetected (or ignored) leak in the kitchen area that caused a bit of a damp smell. Fortunately it was unseaonably warm and were able to open the window.
The location is pretty central.
The back garden of our building (81) was used as a storage place for building materials, with builders entering and leaving incessantly which means the doors were left open at almost all times. The lock, btw, was not working the first three days.On top of this, the builders used the backside of the building as a generic garbage tip, leaving food waste etc on the ground. Our flat was entered by someone who nicked a mobile phone but the hotel showed no interest in helping despite leaving the exterior door open for anyone to enter the premises. This goes to show that you can get away with anything in London for as long as you keep your prices at the lowest end.Shockingly bad.
Location is great. Rooms are OK. WiFi is free and high speed (despite that you have to login to it quite often). Reception desk is great, however maintenance crew do no speak english. Room change is possible
There is no information about that rooms can be located in basements (!!!). Most of basements rooms are COLD despite heating it can be still cold (We were in November). Most of big rooms are in basements however if you request change you might end up in small room that have been converted in "studio" - very little space.
The wasn't controlled from the flat
convenient to restaurants and tube
multiple buildings. People screaming at each other all night.
Location was great opposite tube station, lots of places to eat and drink.
Limited parking with permit holders and limited parking times.
Wifi works well.
Small rooms and cleaning could be better.
Location was great, easy to find Living area was clean and bed was comfy. Nice quiet room
Initially hit by smell of cigarette smoke - even after windows open, the smell was still there as we left - not pleasant as a non smoker! Lots of stairs to tackle with the suitcases Mould and smelly drains in the bathroom - clearly been a flood at some point. Not pleasant and could not brave getting in the shower - needs a good scrub
Didnt like anything at all!
Untidy, no room service, congested toilet bathroom, too many sex noises from adjacent rooms, highly non-recommended for family stay! Embarrassed staff couldn't do anything, jammed sink, not value for money at all!!! Don't go this suite! Better book a hotel room!
location, near to tub station
90 steps to 4th floor, no lift
Great location. Nice studio - small but adequate. Combo oven/microwave and spotlessly clean fridge, along with a 2-ring hob, meant I could be completely self-sufficient. No daily clean as you would get in a hotel but I liked that, as I wanted to hang out in my studio and not be disturbed! Felt like I was actually living in London, rather than just staying there... If you see what I mean?
People outside smoked A LOT and the smoke came up to my (4th floor) room. Beware: You check in at no. 55 but they own various converted buildings on the street so you may have to walk along the street to your room. No lifts to your room. The pillows are not hotel-quality, and the bed had a few lumps...BUT for the money, it was absolutely superb. Location amazing. Just be aware this is NOT a hotel, just small self-catering rooms. Expect foreign student parties!
CLARITY ON THE WIFI CONNECTIVITY INSTRUCTIONS HEATER NOT WORKING ALL HE TIME AND IT WAS 0 DEGREES CELCIUS AT TIMES.
Lights not working 1st night and lights for downstairs could only be switched-on and off from upstairs. Door handle hanging off and the shower doors stiff. Bottom sheet for bed too small leaving bare mattress at top. Noise from fridge extremely loud and TV wouldn't functin at all. Noise from apartment above like a herd of buffalo.
Don't let the photo's fool you when booking online. The room was awful. Curtains and carpet was dirty and room smelt. Had to buy air freshener to try to remove smell. Double bed was small and uncomfortable. We were moved to another room but was no better.
Location was fine near tube stations. Disappoint with the size of the room but very comfy bed and generally quite clean. Basic but good value given recent London price hikes.
Small room hot and claustrophobic, kitchen scruffy and needed attention. Bathroom modern clean but tiny. Stayed two nights wouldn't want to be there longer.
The apartment was cosy and liked the bedroom layout upstairs.
The walls were paper thin and when you have young children staying with you, you don't want to hear certain noises from the next room . They should try to keep families away from younger people who want to party.smoking cigarettes etc shouldn't be allowed in rooms . The smell was awful in the corridors.
We had recently been let down on a house that was booked 18 months previous but we were recommended the Hyde Park Suites. These fell into our available pot of money as we had so much monetary commitment for the weekend and time was of the essence to get somewhere for all of us to stay. I was upfront that this was a hen weekend and some people refused our booking because of this. Bassel Ibrahim was very very helpful and arranged that we had the pax 4 ready for 12 noon so that we could decorate up for the bride to be (my daughter) who was being brought to London an hour later.
I booked 3 suites to accommodate 10 people, it would have been nice to have all been in the same building as we wanted to have breakfast together in our pj's! It was quite a trek up to the top floor of no 34, good job we didn't have any elderly people with us.
2 min walk from bayswater tube , easy check in , room comfortable and clean. Five min walk to Hyde park and Kensington palace and twenty min walk to Notting hill
Not a problem for me but we were on third floor no lifts and lots of stairs so request the appropriate room wEn u book .
The hotel is very close to queensway underground, and very easy to go everywhere.many restaurants and 2local shops to buy food too.
So noicy during night.
1st bed had Hole in headboard Moved apartments twice 2nd bed had broken slats Damaged bathroom flooring Ripped seating areas
Location was excellent
The noise from the street and the group of people that hung about out side the accommodation. There was a lot of drug action on the streets
