The hotel is in lovely grounds and the balcony over looks the golf course and countryside. The balconies are not private and you can see everyone along the row. Use of the spa facilities is not included for booking.com customers.

It was very convinient to where I was working - room was a nice size and the balcony a nice touch. The bathroom was very tired and there was no where to hang towels or dressing gowns after use. The charge to use the pool as a resident was the first I have ever experianced. Serving breakfast from 8 was also strange during the week.

Pleasant surroundings. Room was comfortable and balcony overlooking golf course and countryside is a bonus. Breakfast was very good and overall menu for other meals quite extensive. Staff pleasant. Decor is rather dated for such a modern building. Were suprised to return from dinner in near by Tenterden and find needed to ring to be let in, although it was only 11.20pm. Charges for using the ajoining spa pool seemed rather steep at £25. Bathroom was not on a par with the rest of the accomodation. Happy with price paid as this was a flash deal special, I do not think I would pay the full rate to stay here.

Tenterden is a very nice town and a good location to tour the area. We visited Rye, Tunbridge Wells and the fabulous beach at Camber.

The excellent service by all departments. The rooms were very comfortable and clean -the views from the balcony exceptional. The manager and his waiting/ bar staff were very accomodating and knowledgeable. Special commendations go to the chef. We ate from both menus. The breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked to order. The evening meals were worthy of a Michelin star. Wonderful presentation, amazing combinations of tastes and textures -a real culinary experience. Thank you all

We were upgraded to the honeymoon suite which gave us fantastic amount of room for our 9 month old. Lovely views. Breakfast was fresh and lovely produce albeit a little limited on alternative choices. Room in need of a little T.L.C. decorating in the bathroom

We were there as we were moving elderly parent from Tenterden to Suffolk where we live so we did not have chance to use the full facilities of the hotel but what was on offer was wonderful and if we ever need to stay in Tenterden again it will be here. We would also recommend to others.

The views were lovely and nice to have a balcony. Can hear the next room's tv! Having the windows at the Tee-off means you hear all the golfers chit chat from 6 am while they're waiting to Tee off.

I was disapointed that £50 was taken at the time of booking. Also being charged £1 for a 55p newspaper!

Every room has the beautiful scenic veiw of the golf course and distant countryside, as does the terrace and dining room. The ambience is relaxing and peaceful, the service is friendly, helpful and inconspicuous. The rooms are large, containing two queen sized beds, large bathroom, sitting area, quality tv, and balcony overlooking the veiw. The good quality, varied selection of bar food seemed to be available by request and was a reaonable price. We looked at the pool, it was a really good size and located at the end of the hotel overlooking the golf course (not stuck in a steamy basement). Cant wait to stay at this hotel again Not really within walking distance of Tenterden

“The Royal Oak is a very well run inn. Everything has been well thought out. We stayed in the Romney suite which was lovely and good value for money. The service was excellent. The staff could not have been more welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious. We would definitely stay there again.” Pamela, Brighton |
