Decor, staff friendliness, little niceties like complimentary pastries, nuts etc
Beside Lancaster gate tube station. Free treats in the pantry. Very well decorated and comfortable. staff were very helpful. Would definitely stay again.
The location is excellent. It's very near to the tube station. Travelling by bus is also very convenient, especially to the shopping centre. There is also cycle hire in front of the hotel. I stayed there around Christmas. Cycle hire helped me a lot on Christmas day when all public transport services were shut down.
facilities are complete, good location with a 5-minute walk to underground station.
too expensive, not so warm in winter
Loved the staff, very very friendly
No restaurant or room service. Breakfast was overpriced for what it was. Rooms were a bit loud.
The value of it. The size of the rooms. Two rooms for the price of one.
The lack of a cooked breakfast.
No bar or evening restaurant.
Reasonably priced by Central London standards. Clean and comfortable. Spacious room. Quiet.
A bit of a hike to nearest tube station. Facilities a bit limited.
Excellent hotel. Good staff, friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and well presented. Fridge in room is a great extra. Excellent location very close to Lancaster Gate tube station for quick access to the West End and central london attractions.
Breakfast was adequate and good value but there could have been a little more choice.
The facade of the hotel.
I did not like the hotel and its service and was very surprised to find such a mediocrity in London. I was forced to pay as I checked in and not on checking out as it is the rule in most hotels where I've stayed so far. They argued that it was the hotel policy. La cerise sur le gâteau: I paid 10 pounds for the fare of the taxi that the hotel arranged to take me to Paddington station, leaving me in the wrong side of the railroad and having to carry my bags by hand because the escalators were faraway on the other side. The taxi had no meter. By contrast, the fare that I paid from Paddington to the hotel was 5.2 pounds. I have the receipts with me that can testify that what I am saying is true. Apparently, people running this hotel are not honest people.
Warm and comfortable for a family unit.
The room was a little run down with decor and the bathroom was very antiquated.
Excellent location. Lancaster gate is close (5min walk).
The room safe was locked on arrival. Twice told the receptionist, but it hadn't been fixed. Also, bulb burnt out, it was never changed even after complaint.
Very helpful and pleasant staff....good location....nice and quiet....breakfast was excellent value.
Room beginning to look a bit "tired".
Calm Space in the room and accomodation Polite staff Price range We will certainly return.
Some little things to improve : noise of the fridge and clim; Wifi not included
Good location within easy walking distance of the tube stations
Hotel does need upgrading in the bedrooms
Close proximity to Hyde Park and Lancaster Gate Tube (take note lift has no lift if have heavy luggage)
Outdated interior design of room, bathroom light failed on final night, some counter staff seemed disengaged at times.
The room quality is acceptable for the price; very helpful and polite reception. Nice neighborhood.
This hotel, like all budget hotels in London, suffers from a lack of sound-proofing. So you sometimes feel that your neighbors are in the room with you. You can only hope that they're not too noisy and don't go to bed too late or get up too early.
location, good reception
shabby room, noise from outside (front facing room), no bar/restaurant
The staff were very friendly & helpful
Very basic & in need of refurbishment. No tablet of soap in the bathroom,no tissues, no cooked breakfast.Very, very expensive for what was included in the price.
The location was very good and the staff friendly.
The hotel is very tired. Peeling wallpaper, flaking paint.
