The location was excellent - which is why we stressed to the staff that we were not willing to move to another hotel as they had made a mistake and had us down for the wrong dates. The breakfast was lovely, and the cleaning and breakfast staff were very pleasant. The front of house staff were monosyllabic - we checked in and out without a word being spoken to us. The bathroom smelt throughout our stay, probably due to the mould on the ceiling and walls - we have pictures! The hotel refused to believe they had made a mistake with the nights we were staying until we told them we had a printout of the reservation - we had no apology and they seemed to think we could move elsewhere, we booked in advance and chose them for the location. We had to complain twice on the second night about a noise problem before something was done (we had kept quiet the first night!). |

The hotel was of a high standard and located in an ideal spot for seeing the main sites in London. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Every member of staff that I came across was friendly and eager to help. I would highly recomend this hotel and will be using it again. |

We were staying up for a concert in Hyde Park and the Hotel was within a really easy walking distance to it. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. Continental Breakfast was great. |

The triple room had 3 twin beds and a couch, and we still had space for our suitcases, plus it was clean. There was also a full-size bathtub and a little refrigerator, which was a nice bonus. The staff was friendly and helpful, the free breakfast had everything we wanted, and the location was great for getting on the tube or catching a bus, but it was quiet. We were very happy we had chosen London Guards Hotel for our London stay! |

Good location, good price and clean. The hotel is in need of a facelift. Very dated. |

the hotel is calm, very hard to find in London, and on a nice location. Decoration is simple and you find all the little details you need in your room.A place to stay where you feel relaxed. |

We stayed for four nights and really enjoyed our stay. Our room on the ground floor was quite good by London standards. Good location in very quiet surroundings in Lancaster Gate, just a short walk from the underground and Kensington Gardens. Breakfast was absolutely adequate with toast, cheese, jam, croissants, a choice of cereals, youghurt, fresh juice and good coffee. Breakfast staff was very attentive and friendly. Not really, but reception staff was at best correct, but certainly not overly friendly. |

The bathroom was very comfortable, the linens were nice, however the blanket was old and used. No amenities, the breakfast which was specified on the web was argued over upon ordering. |

The location was excellent being a short walk away from main shopping areas such as Oxford Street. Hyde Park is just around the corner as is Lancaster Gate tube station. Amazingly quiet considering central location. Helpful, lovely staff. Hotel is a little bit tired looking and could do with some updating but had clean bed and hot shower which was all we required so suited us. |

The staff were kind, efficient and obliging, especially as we had to keep extending our stay because of hospital appointments. Beds were made and towels changed daily. It is in a quiet cul-de-sac and is about a 15 minutes walk to Paddington Station. |

Good location, very quiet street. Nice room and staff. Breakfast included (although it was basic), Cleaners good Hairdryer didn't really work - stopped after 5 mins, and then came back on. Needed new paint job, both inside and outside. Its peeling and makes in look rundown. Also bedroom could do with updated. Moulded wallpaper clearly odd and was dirty at bottom.... Stated on this site satelitte tv, but we only had BBC1 and ITV1 and the colour was completely wrong - people were green. |

The staff were very pleasant. Family room more than adequate and clean. Only down side was the double bed was rather uncomfortable and squeaky. A new bed would make it perfect. |
