London Guards Hotel  

The location was good and the room was a good size with a fridge which was handy given the hot weather. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Bed Bugs! the evening I came home I and my two companions were covered in red itchy bites all over our arms and legs and face. I emailed the hotel but havent had a response and for this reason would not stay here again.

Location: near Tube stations (Lancaster Gate, Queensway, Paddington), Bus station, Train station (Paddington), park (Kensington Gardens) Staff: Friendly, helpful, competent

Room equipment is very old and needs replacement A.S.A.P.!

Good overall value -- great location and helpful staff.

Room was old and a bit dingy, but functional. Breakfast was quite weak. A cup of brewed coffee instead of a bucket of instant powder would make the morning much better.

I requested a ground floor room as I injured my hips during my trip (no pun intended) and the staff very kindly allocated the most accessible room and I am grateful for that. They also happily stored our lugguages for us. Good size room. We paid a very cheap last minute rate £50 for the night and it was worth every penny. It can charge up to £120 as I have seen, and I think at that price, its not worth paying that much for that standard of room. I think £60-70 average would be about right.

At £50, nothing negative about this hotel.

Small and audibility rooms. Poor breakfast.

The location was great,quiet area with the tube station not too far away. Breakfast was good with quite a varied choice for a continental breakfast, I pre-ordered an English which was a reasonable £2.95 extra.The staff were helpful & overall very pleasing after fearing the worst due to some of the reviews that had been written.

The room was booked as a triple but was only furnished with 2 normal beds with the 3rd being a camp bed,albeit it was more comfortable as the mattresses on the main beds were way too soft.The decor in the bathroom was a bit grim with paint peeling from the ceiling.But overall the positives far outweighed the negatives for the price.

Tatty - get a full refurb done and this hotel would be a consideration for future, until then, no chance.

Rooms are a little worn, especially carpets - no elevator service to our room 3g, but was manageable up the stairs

The wonderful location - close to Hyde Park and its many attractions, also walking distance to Lancaster Gate tube station, and only a little further to Paddington with all its fabulous eateries etc.
