This 19th-century town house with spacious bedrooms overlooks Hyde Park. It is a 5-minute walk from Lancaster Gate Tube (subway) Station and just 2 Tube stops from the Oxford Circus stores. The Grade II heritage-listed London Guards Hotel has elegant vintage features, including high ceilings and traditional sash windows. Comfortable rooms feature satellite TV and air conditioning. The Heathrow Express train runs from Paddington Train Station, which is about a 10 minute walk away. The train reaches Heathrow Airport in about 15 minutes. Madame Tussauds is a 30 minute walk away. The location was good and the room was a good size with a fridge which was handy given the hot weather. The staff were friendly and helpful. Bed Bugs! the evening I came home I and my two companions were covered in red itchy bites all over our arms and legs and face. I emailed the hotel but havent had a response and for this reason would not stay here again.

We had a good room, quiet and comfortable - though we booked a twin bed room we got a triple and it had lots of space. The bathroom was clean and quite large - with a full bath and hot water was plentiful. Breakfast was continental but entirely sufficient for us and there was the option of a full breakfast as well Wifi though free kept going on and off - we think that they didn't have enough bandwidth for the customers. It would have helped if the information about breakfast etc was actually in the rooms.

Third stay in this very well located Hotel, and still one of the best value ! Sorry but coffee combinig hot water & black powder on Breakfast buffet is not really an improvement.

The hotel is placed near the city center and most atractions are close to it. The hotel really needs to be modernized. The room was large enough, but it was really old-fashioned, with some rusty stuff (like the iron shelf in the toilet).

Central location, excellent price for the area, very close to Hyde Park and underground links. Helpful front desk + free luggage storage (even if basic). Continental Breakfast was very basic - don't expect more than a croisant, cereal and self-serve toast. That said, it was clean and there was plenty of it :-)

Proximity to Hyde Park and tube station, spacious rooms, clean and tidy. The hotel was a bit tired. All the paintwork and furniture needs painting or replacing, carpets need replacing and floors are uneven.

Staffs are friendly.Rooms are quite spacious except that the housekepping does not changed your bedsheet unless you remind them.We stayed here for six nights and they only changed the bedsheet once.

The location was great,quiet area with the tube station not too far away. Breakfast was good with quite a varied choice for a continental breakfast, I pre-ordered an English which was a reasonable £2.95 extra.The staff were helpful & overall very pleasing after fearing the worst due to some of the reviews that had been written. The room was booked as a triple but was only furnished with 2 normal beds with the 3rd being a camp bed,albeit it was more comfortable as the mattresses on the main beds were way too soft.The decor in the bathroom was a bit grim with paint peeling from the ceiling.But overall the positives far outweighed the negatives for the price.
