The location is okay, a fair walk to the tube (about 20mins) but you can catch a bus to save time. The staff are friendly and are willing to help with bags, booking cabs etc.. The double room we booked online was tidy, warm, comfortable and quiet. The only thing was I wasn't satisfied with is that my partner and I needed to extend our stay by one night so we booked the last room, a single, with the promise of extra bedding for the floor. I was okay with that but the bedding that came was a sheet, a very thin cushion for a pillow and a paper thin matress. It was cold and hard nights sleep on the floor.. Everything else was great, just don't rely on 'extra bedding'.

Very clean. Fresh carpet. Not noisy. A good shower. Extremely good value compared to the horrid places that on the same price band that are a little closer to the centre. Easy to get to by car if you know where you are going. Flat screen television Mattress was clean but could have done with a mattress protector as sheets slipped off. Breakfast only served after 8 am on a Sunday so I had to miss it. .Room a little small but for the price this was perfectly reasonable.

We stayed at the London Guest House as we struggled to find accomodation for a family of 5 in London itself. The London Guest house is well located and a 2 min walk to a bus stop which stops right by the tube to get into London. The staff on arrival were very friendly and helpful, and the room was perfect and very clean. The breakfast was very varied and constantly being replenished. I would recommend this guest house and would stay again when we go to London.

The staff was excellent! The hotel is run like a family business and the service was excellent. Great value considering how expensive everything is in London. It is very conveient to the Underground. Bus #266 just outside the hotel is 5 minutes from the subway stop. It runs every 5- 10 minutes. You are able to get pretty much anywhere in the city from there. They charge 2% when payment is made by a credit card.

The service was highly motivated and kind. Furthermore, the rooms were incredibly clean and comfort was provided at all times. Concerning the criticisms about the breakfast: we have to say that all the bad rumors are not true at all, breakfast was splendid and abounding! Nothing. Once you know how to come to the hotel (Tube and then Bus No 266, all included in the Day Travel Card) you arrive there within a short time!

The hotel and staff were helpful and attentive to all our needs. We were able to leave out bags and enjoy the day without having to carry them around. The rooms were good and the breakfast was plentiful. It is a little away from the tube (10 mins walk). However you need to think about what you are paying to stay closer to the centre of London

The price and value for money. Location wasn't too bad either. The breakfast was not the best. Also that you have to ring the bell to get back in.

The ensuites very good, clever design, t, coffee good, need a plate or napkin available to stop crumbs. Heating good. Carpets need to be looked at throughout the hotel. It looks like certain areas are not finished general statement. It's not all about gadgets. The curtains were very warming. Modernisation required, same old colours same old building. The London Guest Hotel was good but can be much better. The painting was presentable but sharpness and standard were very diy. A high percentage of all accommodation facilities is decor/design therefore the brighter and more professional it looks better the client. Clean and presentable; exceptional; superb; disgraceful. What discription would you prefer?

The room is indeed recently refurbished (I stayed in December 2011), so everything looks brand new, including carpet, shower, etc. The staff was very nice and helpful. Despite that you can hear some minor noises from other rooms at the morning, it was really quiet and absolutely no noise from the outside. A bit far away from the city centre (still in zone 2), but compromises by quiet location and the price. Bus service is frequent (day time 6-8 min, 15-20min late evening - midnight), 24h service and the bus stop is just outside the door. It takes about 5min by bus to North Acton subway station, from which by central line to city center about 25 min. There are several convenience stores just across the road and Tesco supermarket opened till 23:00 near the North Acton station. The single room is the smallest room I have ever seen with fridge placed in the wardrobe (?!), but as I said - it's (mostly) clean and has everything you need (tv, fridge, tea/coffee facilities, etc). The shower/toilet look brand new, BUT haven’t been clean properly in my case - dust on towel rails, soap shelf in shower not clean, dirty glass remained from previous guest... Everything was cleaned and replaced upon request. (You would better ask in advance to give a good cleaning to the bathroom) Towels - I had to ask twice to replace them - very thin and old or had a smell of a flame (?) There was no normal duvet cover, only a regular sheet placed, wasn't very comfortable. The duvet is very thin, but there is a heater in the room, so it's OK for December. Breakfast terminated quit early (9:30) and is not fantastic, falls under definition of a continental breakfast, but is sufficient and there are also some fruits...

Staff was friendly, and we picked the hotel for its location. (Been to Acton before, and it's good travelling to city centre by Underground, and it has a really nice pub with 'The Red Lion and Pineapple'.) Good thing is the map for pointing out the nearest Underground station and atm!!! That's what the tourist needs to know. Shower was held into place with tie-rip, with showerhead standing upright, so it was impossible to take a shower without holding the showerhead in hands. Breakfast was a bit poor (so we went for a pub- breakfast), beds were rockhard, and room not really clean. Overall conclusion: poor quality for a hotel. Would be fair enough quality for a hostel, but then the price should be at least divided by 2 en you'd need a common room as well.

Great staff. Attentive. Good breakfast, remarkably clean. Bus directly to the Underground from front door. A little far out from the city. No airconditioning (not a factor for my fall visit) Four flights of stairs to my room, with no lift. Ok if you are into the exercise!

“Lovely modern apartment, good quality fixtures and fittings. Had everything required although didn't need to use dishwasher or washing machine. Appliances such as hob and microwave needed a little figuring out how to use as I couldn't find any instructions, but not a major problem. Apartment was clean and quiet. Comfortable bed, slept very well. En suite very nice. Tesco nearby Earls Court tube station about 6-8minutes walk for me.” Julie, Padiham Lancashire |
