Score from 625 reviews Very good
The London House Hotel is in a terrific location - on a quiet square, but with easy access to two tube stations, plenty of restaurants and the wonderful Kensington Gardens. It was very clean, felt busy without being noisy, and my room was comfortable. I spent five nights as a solo female traveller and I always felt safe both in the hotel and when out and about in the nearby streets.
The wifi was unreliable and often dropped out. It made it difficult to Skype, but was otherwise ok. I also found my bed could do with a new mattress as it had a bit of a dip in it.
Cleanliness. Walk-in shower - no slippy shower over bath. Fridge in room. Very nice location near Queensway and Bayswater underground.
Even though lift to every floor - some steps up to my room. But I am fairly able bodied so not a problem.
Really near for all things central london just round the corner from two stations giving you options for three underground lines-central, district and circle.Clean and no noise at night.Did not have breakfast as so much choice from cafes nearby.Very handy fridge in room and plenty of hangersWill definatly reccomend and use again
The coffee / tea machine in the lobby did not seem to work problem with the milk as coffee looked fine at first then my latte turned In to black coffee!! In the room no proper space to put your cases but that's ok unless your are on world tour!!
Very close to 2 Tube Stations, great restaurants along Bayswater Road.Rooms were very clean & tidy
We had a triple room which was a bit on the small size moving around people & cases.
Price Cleanliness Wi-fi Modern
Get location. Staff were great. Very good restaurants just up at Notting Hill.
Size of bed. Could be a bit wider
Good location and close to bus tour stops and tube
A bit expensive
Room somewhat small
- Great location - Clean, modern room - Modern bathrooms - Free WiFI
- Bad mattresses - they were too soft and uncomfortable. We did not sleep well for most of the nights I was there. - Some rooms are ridiculously tiny - be sure to book a Garden View for more space.
- Convenient location to Underground, West End and Paddington Station. - Close to restaurants and shops - Easy access to reception area. - Friendly, helpful staff. Newly re-decorated, and modern
- Room was very cramped - Cupboard space was inadequate.
Great hotel for our one-night stay. Friendly and accommodating staff, convenient to 2 underground lines, quiet location near a lively district. Highly recommend getting a ground floor (not basement) family room!
Room lighting is controlled by the room card key. When you turn room lights off for the night, a light comes on in the window. While it's behind a curtain and likely for security, it was bothersome in the night. We didn't ask if it could be disabled, but would have if we stayed another night.
Beautifully serviced rooms to return to each day. Location and easy access to the underground at Bayswater.
Room was small but expected for London.
Facilities on the room
No house telephone
Good value breakfast
Room very narrow
Cleanliness, location, ac rooms. Perfect to use to explore London as although the rooms were a bit small (the norm for London) they were clean, quiet and comfortable which is all we really wanted as we would be out most of the day
bathroom was a bit small but very clean.
Very Clean Helpful Friendly Staff
Location, staff sympathy, rooms decoration
Being able to open the windows for fresh air, especially at night. View overlooking the park. Close to Bayswater station.
No arm chair in room to sit in.
Beauliful location in the center of London.
lack of space
Liked everything about the hotel, staff were very polite and helpful. Very clean snd location was very ideal for us overall excellent.
Great value for money. It's situated close to 2 tube stations and Kensington Gardens :) This together with an a/c and wifi were my main reasons for choosing it. And i was satisfied.
The room on the smaller side but comfy enough for 1 (altho it was a dbl room).
Facilities, location, spacious room, friendly staff
The room is very clean and pleasant looking. Receptionist Robert was very helpful and sorted out our refund.
The mattress on our bed was very old and lumpy. When you laid down on it, your bodies sank and feet felt like were sticking up. Absolutely impossible to sleep on, specially if you have back problems. This was a big shock considering everything else seemed nice and new. Receptionists told us all mattresses in the hotel were like that. The first night, my wife preferred to sleep on the carpeted floor! We asked for a refund for the following days we had paid in advance, and went to another hotel.
Great location and the hotel is clean and well run.
Even for London the rooms were way too small. We could not move without stepping over each other. Beds were the most uncomfortable I have slept on for a long time.
