Nothing at all!!! The place was horrific and a total health hazard!! The place needs shutting down!! It certainly should not be trading for business!!!! We were booked in for 5 nights, but 1 night was enough and we had to cancel the rest of the booking!!! There isnt enough room to write the complaints I have in this box!!! I have taken photographic evidence of how bad and digusting the London Shelton Hotel is!! It is a total disgrace and as I said before it should certainly not be trading for business with general public staying there.. The prices arnt overly cheap.. But people would certainly deserve there money back!! We got charged £64.50 to cancel the 4 nights. I find it appauling considering the state of the place!!! It isnt even fit for a dog to stay there!!!!!!!!!

Our first impression was an unfriendly and unprofessional hotel staff. Our room was filthy. We didn't shower because the shower was so dirty and full of mould, and we didn't risk eating breakfast. We had to ask for toilet paper, and the towels were not changed. The tv didn't work. But worst of all: The ceiling was leaking. We complained about it but the staff didn't do anything to help us. They didn't even provide us with a towel so we could wipe up the water from the carpet. They refused to give us another room when we asked for it, and they also refused to give us a refund. The unscrupulous hotel staff deliberately deceives their guests.

The staff were abrupt, they didnt seem to value the meaning of customer service or simple manners and the location of the hotel means it is not really an ideal base for anything in london - its quite a trip into the centre, and even going locally (alexandra palace) was a drawn out experience, even on a quiet night.

The best thing about this hotel was leaving, if we could of found somewhere else to stay we would of! I didn't like having to stay in the garage round the back of an indian take away, I didn't like finding a two year old porn mag under our bed, I didn't like the shower being held together with carrier bags, I didn't like the carrier bag over the smoke alarm, I didn't like the toilet waste coming out onto the floor just outside the front door, I could go on.....

A complete let down, due to the condition of the room.Really shabby , and the shower room black mould, broken shower head, cracked sink, no towel rail, ceiling light hanging with bare wires, hole in ceiling, skirting awful condition. Bedroom carpet stained and dirty, wires hanging, plug hanging off wall, windows not sealed so very very noisey. All in all a terrible condition .We have stayed in many places here and abroad, and this has got to be one of the worst. We have pictures as proof if anyone wants to see.

The best thing about staying here was being able to leave the next day The shower had mildew all over walls which were still wet. The shower had to be hand held as the holder on the wall was broken. In addition, I had to turn the shower off during my shower to allow the standing water to drain away. There was a large hole in the ceiling in the bathroom with plaster falling out and a significant draft coming from it. I am unsure what the scratching sounds were above it but I’m sure I can hazard a guess. The sink was dirty and also had standing water. My partner and I were given 3 hand towels for the room. There were two cups complete with tea bags, sugar and milk but the room had no kettle so were rendered useless. The single pane window did not close properly and so it was cold and you could hear everything outside. The tv did not work as the poorly hand modified coax cable did not fit. When I questioned the receptionist and asked for a portable aerial or if they could fix it, I was greeted with the response “no, we are refurbishing, you can see that”. I can categorically deny there was any sign of anything that looked refurbished. The set of drawers contained an empty packet of cigarettes and several screws. The light in the main room on the wall had no bulb. The plug sockets on the wall were coming away from it and did not appear safe. After a poor nights sleep we ventured down to breakfast to a room that stank of old grease and cooking oil. As you can imagine, we were eagerly awaiting our breakfast and didn’t know what to pick when we were told “breakfast today consists of eggs, toast, butter and jam”

It was a shocker they should have paid us to stay there. room stunk the shower room was reqally smelly the TV was an old analogue so absolutely no channels. wordrobe had no doors. The radiator was on all night and no controls. A neon light was on outside the window all night so the room glowed. I felt like I should have been rwenting the room for an hours casual nooky and then leaving. The breakfast was 2 eggs and one sausage with toast. in an ex- fast food take away ajoining the hotel with the kitchen ripped out with some tables and chairs and doubled as acomputer cafe with 1990's computers. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and just wanted some where to put my head for a football trip weekend. not a hotel but a dos house. got to have a authentic turkish meal in harringay high street

Location was perfect for my visit. I booked months in advance and paid for 3 x rooms, when I got there they said I hadnt paid at first which didnt impress me. I booked 3 x twin rooms, when we arrived i was told they only had 2 x twin and 1 x double, not impressed as the party i had with me were 6 men! I wont be using this hotel in the future.

I liked the cup tea in the morning I didn't like the atmosphere, the dangerous wiring, unfinished plumbing, tv not working, pathetic breakfast option, used condom in reception upon arrival, owner trying to con me out of more money by trying to convince me I had to pay for breakfast on top of what was already paid even though it clearly said it was included.

The bed was quite comfy and open 24 hours. Staff foreign spoke very basic english also just wore casual clothing, shower cubical turned into a bath as the water didnt drain away. Dirty walls, noisy (so noisy I thought the window was open) tele had 1 channel. Breakfast was toast and jam or egg and beans. They passed around the 2 milk jugs between 10+ customers. Breakfast room dark and dingy. Never returning to the shelton hotel again! Expensive for what we got, knowing we have stayed in Paddington 5* hotel for just £50 more. Anywhere else would of been better!

It was reasonably close to the school that I was visiting. The owner and staff were reluctant to provide a proper receipt - gave me a business card with £50 written in pencil!! There was only one channel on the tv. An early breakfast was arranged, but this wasn't communicated to the morning staff. It was a bit of a dump.

We arrived at 5.30...3 hrs after their recommended. Check in time....we were kept waiting for 25 mins, as room wasn,t ready, in the unlit dining area(i use the word dining in it,s loosest term)..the room was filthy,,the shower/wc room was manky.towels arrived an hour later ..I mean hand towels,,they were miniscule,,,.no door on the wardrobe,,tv had only one channel that went off every two mins,,,t-cups were dirty,,milk was off...beds comfy enuff I suppose..window had a bright orange light shining into it from garage directly outside it..didn,t attempt brekky,,i saw one patron eating what I can only describe as mystery food and decided against it,,all in all a terrible place..so bad we spent only 2 hours in it,,needs total refurbishment and people who understand english,,will never ever go again and would not recommend it to anyone

Good price for being near the tube line in London. The room was not equivalent with what the online description said I was paying for (no private bathroom and very very small).

leaving receptionist took 10mins to find our booking, then asked for money, we said we would pay by credit card & he asked us a number of times to pay cash so we wouldnt have to pay internet booking fee. we said no we would prefer to pay by card as we wanted proof / reciept of payment.
