A charming converted 17th-century barn, Longacre Bed and Breakfast is set in rural South Devon, between Totnes and the borders of Dartmoor. It uses local produce in its food, and produces honey from its own bees. Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout the property, and each guest room also features a flat-screen TV and free tea and coffee. Every light, airy room has a private shower room, whilst one also has a patio. Seasonal, local ingredients are used both for Longacre’s daily full English breakfasts, and for evening meals which can be arranged. This dog friendly B&B has its own lovely garden and orchard, and is surrounded by perfect walking country. At the gateway to Dartmoor, the antique shops and restaurants of Ashburton are just under 4 miles away. The beautiful medieval town of Totnes is 5 miles away. Nicely designed room, pretty barn conversion, very comfy double bed - but small pull-out was not so comfy for the 3rd person - good towels, toilettries in bathroom nice and good quality, spare loo rolls!, brilliant walk-in shower, good hot water, and of course in a beautiful part of the world - gorgeous countryside not far from town and we were given directions to lovely old Inn for dinner (although dinner could have been ordered from the B&B owner if we had wanted). Cooked breakfast was delicious and even had honey from owner's own bees! Marvellous! Only that the room was slightly chilly in the evening (perhaps a bit better as a summer stay, or else a big floor rug would be good) and the pull-out camp bed was a bit small and thin to really be offered as a third adult bed - but the room was lovely and the bed was really good quality and comfy - see above - so no gripes at all really.

Our overall stay at Longacre bed and breakfast was fantastic! Made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. Our room was lovely and well facilitated. We were given good information about places to visit and places to eat close by. Would not hesitate to recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone.

The Oak room was lovely and spacious and was in a quiet location visitiing late Sept and being in the north facing room it was extremely cold in the eve. The first night- late eve the heating was put on. The next eve it was very cold, I ask if the heating could be put on and was told it would be. This didnt happen. In the morning the was no hot water so were unable to have a shower. We were told this was because the water had been drained the night before, making it feel like it was our fault! I had to leave without having a shower.

The company was friendly. The breakfast was not good. The toast was nice but the cooked breakfast with 2 small sausages (some burnt) three slices (small) of tomato and eggs was lost on the plate. We did not want bacon but they could have added more tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans and hash browns. To charge £20 more on top of the room charge was just not worth it. We would not recommned anybody to stay at this establishment.

The location was inaccessible through country lanes only a couple of inches wider than the car. The room was damp and he didn't make the bed or wash the cups any of the three days we were there. Also, we had the same towels for three days. The breakfast was just a basic fry-up and was identical on all three mornings. He was pleasant but the house needed a woman's touch to provide the comfort you would expect in a (quite expensive) B & B.

Friendly welcome Not asked what we wanted for breakfast - Full English served, my wife is vegitarian .... options not given. Our room was damp and had some mould on walls by window - shower floor needs renewing. Other rooms may well be better, don't know?

breakfast, location, comfortable bed Upon arrival we were queried about the number staying. The room hadn't been made up for us all upon arrival. Parking was an issue because of tension with neighbours. There were no tea bags. Felt we were intruding rather than welcomed. The shower and some drawers were not clean. The room was overlooked even when curtains were drawn.

Longacre was a welcome break on a long drive from Cornwall. It is beautifully decorated and very peaceful. My only comment for this will be the white curtains. The light woke us up very early.

Very friendly and welcoming host. Excellent breakfast with quality produce. Home from home feel. Quiet location, which was perfect for us. Longacre is a pet friendly B & B which enabled us to take our dog - an excellent plus point.
