Nice parkland setting, lovely old building tastefully extended, comfortable bedroom, pleasant public areas. Hearty breakfast. Efficient and friendly staff. Weather was icy and entrance to the hotel was dangerously slippy - could have been de-iced better. |

Its a very nice hotel situated in an excellent location. I thought the room was very small, especially when I consider how much I paid for the room. You get bigger rooms at Travelinn for considerably less cost. In addition, the selection at breakfast was poor and had to wait as they kept having to go back to the kitchen for more items. All in all, would not stay here again - not value for money |

The friendly atmosphere and 'stately home' ambience in a lovely setting combined with excellent service, a clean and comfortable room and good breakfast. |

The proximity to the Northumberland tourist sites is good. Also would be good for a conference / business training venue. The evening menus were too much about the Chef's vanity. There should be some simple meal options that many people prefer. |

Location good; close to the coast and historic attractions; staff very helpful and cheerful; Bedroom facilities very tired; booked a superior room which was not the step up from the standard facility as expected or suggested by the website. Food although well presented was very disappointing. |

The hotel was great, room was a good size, with view of the cricket club. Staff freindly and helpfull. We dined in the Boyson Restuarant most nights, best value was the steak. Great breakfasts. Overall a good location for driving around Northumberland. Finished the day with drinks by the portrait of local hero Cuthbert Collingwood. |

Our visit to Longhirst was a first, it was my partner's birthday and I wanted to take him somewhere special for a weekend treat and Longhirst Hall turned out to be the perfect choice. The staff were efficient, friendly and so welcoming nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was superb and again the friendliness of the restaurant manager and our waitress Sarah who took the time to enquire about how we had spent the day each evening was most welcome. I have worked in customer service for 20 years and know what is required to ensure customer satisfaction and on this visit the staff certainly exceeded my expectations. Thank you Longhirst Hall my partner and I had a really wonderful stay and look forward to returning, |

I had a premier room and it was well elegant, well equiped and very comfortable. The room was on the junction of two corridors and so I endured the noise of the constant cmings and goings - doors opening etc. It was also further from my meetings than advertised on the website. |

Very comfortable, lovely location, excellent food in the evening. High tray charge for room service, buffet breakfast - food was not hot, free wireless only in public areas - not rooms. |

The room was first class with powerful shower, comfortable beds and large flat screen TV.Very impressive grounds.Good value for money. We waited 45 minutes for our meal in the bar. The chicken curry was plain sliced chicken with a tomato and onion 'gloopy ' sauce on top. Not good. |

The staff were very helpful and efficient, especially in your restaurant. After a small mix up with the orders between two table fo rthe main coarses your staff delt with the situation quickly and kindly, so that it had nearly no effect over all on the atmosphere of the meal. |

Friendly staff at breakfast, good food at breakfast, well laid and good choice for a non-wedding booking the bar area was small. It is a long walk from the car park to hotel room lugging luggage which could be solved by some thought by hotel management |
