The location was beautiful, very secluded surrounded by lots of countryside. The hotel itself was very grand and spacious the perfect place for my 10th wedding anniversary. We were welcomed by the staff and there was an anniversary card waiting in our room which was very nice. The spa facilities were very clean and we had an hour complimentary use of the whole spa ad we were hotel guests. Dinner consisted of a 3 course gormet meal and afterwards we were given a bottle of champagne by the staff and management to celebrate the rest of our evening. A great place to relax, unwind and appreciate the beauty of Longhirst Hall we will certainly be visiting again next year.

Beautiful setting in lovely gardens The new extensions lacked character, the bar area particularly was soul less too many tables and chairs and not enough lounging sofas. Nice tables and chairs on the lawn but no access from the bars to get to them other than through reception and main door. Shame that the old entrance way hadn't been utilised as the hallway was magnificient.

The hotel is set in lovely grounds which are well looked after. The bathroom was very old and unacceptable for a 4* hotel.

I was only there for one night for a wedding reception so it was a short stay..However, the experience was a good one. I know Longhirst and have stayed there previously with my business association.. This stay, the staff especially the young man on reception (I think he said that he is a bricklayer/builder in the other job), was fantastic! He coped well with the frenzzy of activity when everybody was trying to book in...he was superb. Although my stay was short, I was more than happy with the hotel in total and excellent value for money. I have played golf there before, and my stay this time reminded me that I must come back again soon and take advantage of the full facilities. Thank you to all. "I'll be back", Kazia

The staff and surroundings were great. I was disappointed with the room. Although large, comfortable and clean with a good TV, it was very plain and institutional. The bathroom suite was dated and overall the room was not up to scratch for the price.

The staff were friendly and helpful and it met my needs. Good restaurant. My room did not match the description of 'elegant'. It was a bit dated and a drawer was missing from the dressing table. The room did not live up to the expectation created by the exterior and reception areas.

Comfortable, warm and modern hotel complex. Well placed for Northumberland coast. The breakfast was good, the evening meal excellent. Very good value for money. Rooms were small. Although there was a spa the ultimate would have been a leisure complex with a pool.

The hotel is fine but the lack of phone signal in thsi day and age does score against it. The barstaff were very friendly and the food provided was of a high standard.

The hotel is well situated near to Morpeth. Set in lovely grounds and nice to walk around locally. We didn't try the Spa but other residents told us the facilities were very good. Our room was very comfortable and peaceful. A very good buffet breakfast and friendly helpful staff. We would certainly book again and hope to stay longer next time.

We selected this hotel of the internet, and felt let down by what we found on our arrival. After seeing our room, which was,nt particularly clean, and had a ripped headboard,we returned to reception and told them we were leaving.Luckily,we found a very acceptable b&b in nearby Morpeth, and would never recommend this hotel to any of our friends.

We visited longhirst hall for a long weekend all the staff were lovely and very helpful I used the spa and it was the most relaxing experience I have had. The breakfast was very nice also. We had a snack in the collingwood bar that was delicious. The only down fall with longhirst was the bathroom was very dated and not very nice also the bedroom was very small.

It is easy to get to and is not far away from a major towm, however is far enough to have a country side feel. Staff were warm and friendly and restaurant prices were very reasonable. Nothing, everything was great. Nice and relaxing.

the hotel and its surroundings, breakfast very nice Room... Toliet would not flush in the morning? Had to use other toliet facilities in the hotel. Window broken - it would not stay open as the latch was broken, hence the room was fairly stuffy all night

All the staff were very attentive. The bedroom was initially very cold, the radiator turned off, it took several hours for the bedroom to reach a comfortable temperature.
