“Still lives up to its own high standards”

Just outside St Helier, this 14th-century manor house features a 3 AA-Rosette restaurant, an outdoor pool and cocktail bar. Longueville Manor is on 15 acres of private forest, just a mile from St Helier Beach. The rooms have a flat-screen TV/DVD player, free Wi-Fi access and an iPod dock. Rooms also feature fresh fruit and flowers and homemade cookies, and the bathrooms have custom toiletries, scented candles and robes. Longueville has 2 dining rooms with oak paneling and views of the grounds, and the creative menu includes quality local produce and fine wines. Indulgent afternoon teas and traditional cooked breakfasts are also available. Guests can relax in the leafy grounds or on the poolside terrace. There is also a tennis court and croquet lawn, and Royal Jersey Golf Club is just 2 miles away. Free parking is available, and St Helier Marina is within a 5-minute drive. Hotel Rooms: 31

Excellent Food in a beautifully relaxing ambience. Our room did smell of smoke. We gathered that until next year smoking is allowed in rooms...A Pity for non-smokers like ourselves. When we mentioned this on our arrival in the room the porter sprayed our room with Febreze !!!

Outstanding staff. Fabulous food. Really exceptional in presentation and content. The refurbishment has destroyed the character of the inside of the hotel. The bar which was lovely and warm and colourful is now drab and miserable. It is full of greys and beige colours. Very uninviting. The whole downstairs area has interior designer written all over it. Even the wonderful Christmas Tree has been replaced by an awful trendy white collection of things. I must have stayed at Longueville 50 times. I think it is now just an average hotel. The inside of the place is a poor version of the interior of the Atlantic. I would come for dinner but I don't think I will be back to stay. Such a shame.

Very welcoming at reception, even though one of the staff was a new employee. Lovely to see same staff who were there on our previous visits. Bart was extremely professional in the restaurant, must have had excellent training from someone. Pedro perhaps? Food was again amazing, finesse on a plate, thanks to Andrew and his team. Very high standard of cleanliness in the rooms as always. Sorry we only had 2 nights this time, but we will be back again soon.

A thougthfull staff who handled each of my enquiries with professionalism speed and consideration. The staff would perhaps do even better if they visit the pool area on a regular basis (esepcially in the late after noon) so that the guests can place an order for a drink without the need to go looking for someone.

I thought that generally it is a very well run, professional hotel and I would have rated the staff as excellent but there was one member of the bar staff that I found particularly rude. The reception staff and the restaurant staff were excellent, very helpful and accommodating. The home- made short bread in the room was delicious!

J'ai aimé le calme ,la beauté du parc, la qualité et la gentillesse du service, la disponibilité du personnel, le confort anglais d'une grande maison. Le tout pour un prix de la chambre de 150£ / J ,très raisonnable pour la qualité des prestations Il n'y a pas eu de raté dpendant ces 5 jours.
