Food was good - lovely to have the breakfast freshly cooked each morning instead of a buffet that has been sitting for ages. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Lovely surroundings. Furnishings new and in good condition. Beautiful scenery. Liked everything about it except that it was very remote and you needed a sat-nav to find it.

Staff very friendly. Near Exeter and they welcome dogs....a big plus point for me. Dining room could do with a bit more atmosphere. i.e. candles and ditch the elevator music. Food good.

Staff were great and room was good with quality furnishings. Only two things annoyed us slightly, one being poor wifi strength in room 6 meaning having to go down and sit in hall to get signal and directions to get to hotel - gps sent us out into the wilderness and down their old dirt track. Read directions on how to get to the hotel on location on their website before going to it. Might pay for hotel to highlight the sat nav problem on booking page as we dont normally look at location page after booking.

The location, value for money and the food was excellent. The waiting staff were poor. . The girl "Kim" on reception was very good as were the cleaning staff. The waiting staff could, in my opinion definitely do with some customer service training.

All of the staffs are very kind and helpful. The surrounded environment of the hotel is very beautiful, so I walked around for one hour. After that I also enjoyed dinner, which is excellent. Surface of tables is not clean.

When I requested an early check out the Manager asked if I would like them to make me a packed lunch as I would be missing Breakfast. Very thoughtful.

I have not filled in location because we used our sat nav. Need I say more!!!!! I did not find anything about not using a Sat nav on my booking form!! The Hotel was excellent, I did fill in the form before I left. It was very kind of you to phone re breakfast service, ours was excellent and lovely food, no complaints at all. Yes, we would love to come back and would definitely recommend it to friends and family but do not use the sat nav - we nearly turned back on the rouigh track and not go to the Hote at alll but we were glad we kept going - mind you our car was pretty filthy at the end of the terrible track!!! Usinng the sat nav and driving that terrible road and to end up with a filthy car and feeling pretty jaded

Great breakfast - very friendly staff and great surroundings. Didn't avail myself of dinner so can't comment on that! Very out of the way - but don't be put off by the narrow roads worth it for the peace and calm when you get there.

There is nothing I didn't like concerning my experience at this hotel. (Unfortunately, I was only able to stay one night). I loved the countryside location ... restful views and great atmosphere. All of the staff I came in contact with were extremely helpful, friendly and professional. My room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and I had a much needed good nights's sleep. The breakfast was excellent too. All in all, a most pleasant stay. No complaints whatsoever!

Amazing location of the hotel. Traditional and charming style of the the hotel. Rooms were spacious- one with a big double bed and another with twin beds, with tea/coffee facilities, a bottle of water and biscuits. Nice large bathroom with bath and shower. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with a wide choice of hot and cold drinks and also continental and cooked breafasts. We had a great stay. Narrow road to the hotel. Barely enough light in the room. No lift but the staff helped us to carry our bags to the room.
