Large room Large TV Comfy firm bed Good pillows Quiet (we were in the Lodge building)
Shower a bit weak (water flow)
room was very hot
Helpful staff with excellent attitude. It was great to be able to eat in the bar area, quieter for good conversation.Enjoyable food with a variety of choice.
We had a job to find the hotel in the dark. Sat nav inadequate.
That booking.com didn't forward our booking to the hotel! 3 double rooms, Sat night, 2 weeks before Christmas! The hotel were great and sorted another hotel for us.
Can not fault
Staff were excellent and food was very good.
Bedrooms and bathrooms look like they could do with refurbishing .
This was the 4th time back at the lord hill, first time to stay in the main hotel instead of the lodge, I have to say for the extra few pounds it's well worth it, stayed in room 208 was massive, with walking in shower, 2 TVs on the wall, I separate room for chilling it felt lot more expensive than it was, it's was the perfect room to propose to my future wife, we love the Lord hill hotel and will be coming back for many years, keep up the good work and thank you for the memories
Pillow was bit hard for me but that's my preference, awesome hotel and would recommend it to anyone
Friendly and comfortable
Bar food could be better
The staff and the food were exceptional. Rooms were clean band very warm, tv a bit small. But could't fault anything really.
The Abbey suite was exceptional. Very clean and tidy. And a beautiful room. Breakfast was top notch and staff were pleasant. Closer to Shrewsbury than I thought. Walk it easily or get the bus for £2 outside the old bell pub opposite. Hotel let us have a late check out at no extra cost or hassle (1pm)
No hand towels in the bathroom. Probably would've supplied them had I asked but I didn't bother. Power shower wasn't exactly powerful but my partner loved the bath. There was a wedding on at the time and the suite is close to the main reception area and main corridor. We didn't have any noise late at night but it was noisy first thing in the morning with people going for breakfast.
Customer service. Good was delicious.
Room in the lodge was too warm despite radiator being off. The fan supplied however made it more bearable.
Convenient for getting to our final destination. Value for money and an excellent breakfast.
Bed on the small side. Radiator clicking/groaning all through the night
It was nice and quite a very nice place to stay
The headboard screwed to the wall not attached to the bed was a bit noisy when turning over in bed.....
Friendly staff and warm / comfortable room.
Unsure about the "Pet Policy" ... my dog slept the night in my car.
We loved everything about this hotel, The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were in the lodge which is slightly cheaper than the main Hotel. Enjoyed the walk into shrewsbury which only took 10 mins. Plenty of parking space.
The Bar meals were excellent. Well presented, well cooked and very tasty. The wines we tried; German, Chilean and Australian were all top quality and (for England) well priced. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
We were in the annex which was no problem except for the other users who couldn't read the large notice on the door telling you to close it behind you for security reasons! Before the foyer lights came on we needed a torch to see the annex door keyhole. We faced onto a main road in room number 55. The seal on the double glazed window doesn't seal properly so traffic noise was a problem at night. The shower dribbled rather than sprayed water.
Very clean hotel. The staff were very helpful. Near to centre of Shrewsbury.
Rooms a little dated but hotel well maintained.
Rooms very comfortable and well furnished. All the staff were very helpful and friendly (our rooms were upgraded without asking) and the cooked breakfast is spot on.
Nothing at all. Stayed here before and will stay again.
Facilities were great location great only negative was the heat in our room which was so overpowering we couldn't sleep. We did try turning it down but it didn't help
Bedroom too hot
The hotel was lovely and clean. Quick check in. Beds where comfortable. Food in restaurant was gorgeous. Easy parking.
The room was quiet near a road but it didn't aff us in anyway.
We have stayed here on several occasions and we always have a lovely stay. The staff are exceptional.
Everything was great
Staff were 1st class
No WiFi in the lodge part of the hotel were we stayed
