Score from 1839 reviews Very good
Very clean, well maintained hotel. Rooms are small, but this is true for all hotels in this price class. Good continental breakfast.
Central heating was not yet active in October, so the room was cooler than I like.
Near Earl's court tube station; Friendly staff; Clean rooms.
Poor breakfast: Bread and Pastries are not fresh.
location is good, near the earl's court station
everything about the hotel is not good except the location. the room is very small and the beds as well the towers looks very dirty. i even see a quilt has yellow stains on it, and there are lots of holes on the sheet and there are also holes in the cover. it seems they were used for ages! the room is not sound-isolated and i can hear someone coughing all-night-long in some room in this building. it is a dark room even i was in second floor. and i back at 9 o'clock or so and the stuff isn't there and there only a piece of paper writing"i will be back in 5 minutes" and we waited outside in the cold for like 20 minutes and no one show up, finally i buzz the doorbell and someone show up and he even blamed me for buzz the doorbell and totally ignored he kept us waiting outside in the cold street for 20 minutes! i can hear someone walk on the stairs when taking a shower and afraid one day someone falling down from the stairs directly to the shower room. they only provided 3 small package of shampoo and no body shower. the room looks dirty with dark-red carpet with black flowers on it. the elevator is very small and it takes ages to wait for it to arrive to 2nd floor. it provides the poor facilities and charge for a high price. i think it totally not worth 114 pounds a day for a double room-except the location near to underground.
Friendly staff, clean & hygenic, good breakfast.
Quite satisfied with the facility. We had no complaints.
I was travelling with my elderly mother and was given a ground floor room, as requested. The room was larger than I expected, with a full tub and shower in the en suite. The continental breakfast was fresh and plentiful, served in the daylight basement with cheery tablecloths. The lift was operating fine. Staff was accommodating of requests for information and a replacement of batteries for the tv remote. The hotel is less than 100 yards from the Earl's Court Underground station, which is served by escalators and an elevator to platform level. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
There are several very steep stairs (with a rise of at least 10" each) from the street to the lobby, making this an unacceptable accommodation for those who cannot climb stairs of that height. A sturdy handrail would be a good investment. There have been other complaints on this site about the state of the yard behind the hotel; it is unkempt and had a large pile of remodeling debris when we were there. Perhaps when the remodel is complete, the owners could haul away the debris and do a simple raking and planting of the area.
no air conditioning but we had a room with windows facing the street, too noisy outside and not easy to get to sleep
Close to the tube station. Nice staff. WiFi in the room.
Liked that the room was clean
1. Room was not as advertised and was clear a twin room converted into a triple. No room between the beds and found myself climb out from the bottom. Because of the additional bed been squeezed into the room it felt extremely claustrophobic. 2. Additionally there was a lack of towel in the room. 3. Poor Wifi
Location within walking distance from the Earl's Court tube. Safe, well lit neighborhood. Many restaurants & pubs nearby. Room clean and comfortable. Staff excellent.
Our room backed up to the train station. If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room on the other side of the building.
Attractive old hotel near beautiful parks and Victoria Albert Museum. Staff were friendly and helpful and English breakfast was great. Also,Our taxi driver Stephen Krepka who helped my mobility impaired wife in Kew gardens, Hampton Palace, and Covent Garden was the best ever!
Everything, the staff were extremely helpful, always friendly, the room was very clean and the location perfect. Will definitely recommend and stay again
The room was small but would dtiil return again
Very happy with location. Convenient, local and easy to find
Held suitcases for us!
Breakfast.. would like milk/sugar left on table at least! Constant getting up and down
price is acceptable, staff are friendly, it is not far from the underground-Earl's Court, Tesco is 10 mins by walking from hotel
The hotel was clean and friendly and the location was fine for getting around London although I didn't particularly like Earl's Court. The hotel was two minutes walk from the tube station. Housekeeping was very good. We lost something during our stay and they helped us find it - in terms of the service and the atmosphere the hotel was fine.
Unfortunately the rooms were tiny. OUr first room was so small we couldn't unpack, and we had to leave our cases on the floor, and then there was no room to walk around the room. That particular room also backed onto the tube station so you could hear the trains running late at night and early morning. That didn't bother me but it did my companion. For me, the worst thing was the beds. One had no spring in the matress and just slumped into one position and stayed there all night. I felt I was sleeping in a bed of concrete. I changed to the single bed in the room, and that was worse because the floors were on an incline and so, consequently, was the bed. I had to use my muscles to physically stay on the bed and not roll off during the night. I really didn't get a good rest the whole 5 nights I was there. To be fair, if you are the kind of person who can fall to sleep anywhere, this probably wouldn't bother you too much. If you are a sensitive sleeper, I would suggest finding somewhere else to stay.
They gave us a triple room that clearly was not such, so it was too small and uncomfortable. The room was very hot and very noisy, because of Earl's Court station traffic. Also, the bathroom was quite dirty.
Good breakfast in the continental breakfast category. Room is small, toilette even smaller, but well kept and price is reasonable
The hotel location is pretty good. It's very easy to walk (5-7 min) to tube stations. The hotel staff was very friendly, but in fact they finally didn't help us with issues we had in the rooms.
We stayed in this hotel for just 4 nights. It was a family trip with 2 our children. We booked quadruple room, but got 2 rooms double beds. They claimed they have no free quadruple ones. After multiple talks and promises to check and find a solution, we didn't get anything better. The rooms in this hotel are extremely small. I never saw so small rooms before. 2 people with luggage just can't move there. You need to fly. And you must be a equilibrist to use so tight shower. Breakfast was also rather poor. Elevator didn't work during more than one day. Double rooms can be probably useful only for singles and also with limitations.
Very good location.
Room quite small
Location Fresh and clean room Beds were comfy Staff polite, courteous and very helpful. Value for money
No parking nearby, we had to park quite a way from the hotel. ( But it is London so we are aware how difficult it can be.
The hotel is located conveniently next to a tube station. Moreover, the room was clean and comfortable.
I was kind of hoping for an English Breakfast, but found out it was a continental breakfast instead. Other than that, everything else was great!
Location to work
Overlooked Earls Court tube station.
lovely location, staff were excellent and close to tube station. most comfortable bed ever slept in
Price and location were favourable
Were unable to open any windows as the room faced a balcony close to the road. The breakfast options were rather poor.
the location good the staff very helpful and pleasant the room was nice and bright
no internet screens for use of residents the breakfast was very basic
