Location, cleanliness, friendly staff, garden, walking paths, too small bedroom, bed was very stylish and pretty however was uncomfortable in such a small room (we bruised our legs on many occasions), lack of living room/area which can be used in case of rainy weather.

The hostess and her family were lovely and couldnt do enough for you even took us to our evening destination. The breakfast was absolutely perfect and served in a period dining room. The house and gardens were beautiful and very historic and spotless. The room we stayed in was a bit small and didnt have ensuite but despite that I would book again and would recommend.

Charming, personable host and accommodation. Excellent breakfast with eggs from their own hens! Very good pub restaurant close by. Tiny grumble, hence 'fair' for comfort: I booked the larger of the two rooms but I was put in the standard double. No-one else was staying in the other room but I didn't want to make a fuss because I was made so welcome.

The warm welcome I recieved when I arrived including a much needed cup of tea, very friendly hosts, couldnt do enough for you. It was spotless clean and very cosy, I had an evening meal here which was very good and one of the best breakfasts I have ever eaten, and I stay away alot so I have a lot to compare it to. Thank you very much for a lovely stay, will come back as soon as I am in the area. hard to find in the dark

We received a very warm welcome from Vicky (hostess), we were allocated a lovely room, which over-looked their beautiful garden, which was very comfortable. We were served a very well cooked breakfast in the morning which was served in their well presented dining room. The only unfortunate part of Lord Mayor's Cottage is the shared bathroom. However this was only problematic when getting ready for bed. Another couple had just arrived from Holland and they decided to both have showers after travelling , unfortunately this was at the time we needed to use the bathroom before going to bed. As the bathroom is at the end of the corridor my husband had several trips before eventually finding the bathroom empty. But it was not a problem in the morning much to my husbands relief..

Very friendly couple running it, nice touches such as tea and buscuits when we arrived and dressing gowns provided, plus a lovely garden to stroll around, off road parking, and a pleasant riverside walk into the centre of Mildenhall. Bedroom was not en-suite, but this was not a significant issue with the bathroom being close by, and the room had a wash basin.

Host was excellent, nice area for a stroll after tea. Bath needs replacing with a quality shower. Room could do with a more comfortable chair and table.

What a beautiful cottage, I was met by Vicky the host who was very friendly and accommodating, coffee was served in their beautiful garden and I was shown to a very clean and well decorated room which had many nice touches. Both hosts were warm and happy to chat which made it a very friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful, although only an overnight stay, I would have been more than happy to spend longer at the Lord Mayor's Cottage such was the hospitality shown to me by the hosts Vicky and Kelsey.
