Based on a classic cruise ship, The Liner offers nautical décor and cabin-style rooms with marble bathrooms. Liverpool Lime Street Station is just 2 minutes’ walk away.
Score from 1708 reviews Fabulous
outdated, small bedrooms, poor quality
Big rooms, hotel is located in the city center, nice personnel. Shower is good.
Breakfast is very medium, no eggs or cheese. Next to the hotel is a constructionsite, which causes some noise. The rooms are really noisy too, you can clearly hear the people on the street and in the hotel corridors.
Friendly staff, good size room, good continental breakfast.
Fire doors at top of stairs, we had difficulty getting through them. Storage area for cases needs renovating. Seating in bar and dining area (seats were to low)
Cost, staff, room, closeness to station
Food is a bit poor, but I've stayed here before & know it.
Great Location, Friendly staff,
near Lime Station.
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Always a pleasure and nice to be remembered.
Nice people, clean hotel, good decor ,close to town
When you flushed toilet loud noise
Very big and clean room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Excellent position (2 minutes walk from the train station, 5 from the city centre and right next to the O2 Academy where I was headed for a concert the night of my stay). The perfect place for my needs.
Noisy room (we had bad luck 'cause they gave us the 1st floor room right next to the stairs, lot of people walking by). Poor breakfast.
Staff eager to please attitude, Humour, No cooked breakfast, BUT continental was more than addiquate, Would I stay there again,? YES, Oh, Parking is difficult if you don't have a disabled badge. If you drink tea and are single, ask for a medium sized pot!
Lift switched off at 2230 hrs Might be a problem for walking inpaired,!
Very comfortable and clean
staff were very friendly. nice breakfast in the morning .bed room was spotless clean . would return to this hotel .
Nice staff ! Perfect location in the city ! Just what you need in the rooms not moore or less. And I liked the breakfast.
The noise outside and in the corridors nighttime. - maybee a pair of earpluggs would bee handy.
The breakfast was nice and being able to leave luggage there between bookings. TV nice and large.
Not much if I'm honest. It is very old and tired - needs some TLC. The doors slam and the whole hotel rattles. The bedrooms are more like prison cells they are so small and the bathroom, although modern, was so cold. (No heating in there) Can't see out of the window as glass is frosted owing to the close proximity of the building opposite. Saturday night not a good night to stay there because whilst I was there a drunk/s making a heck of a racket and nothing was done about it. I think it's just one of those hotels that you just don't stay in at the weekends but out of choice, not in the week either.as far as I'm concerned. I did not feel comfortable here and will not stay there again.
Really liked hotel so near to the train station, staff very good nothing was to much trouble.
We were next to the main stairs kept awake half the night with coming in banging the door.
Its price incredible
A bit of cold
The down to earth attitude of the staff.
The acts of certain guests, banging doors, walking loudly though the hotel and being sick, between 2.10 and 3.35 am on the 2nd October. My stay on the 6th October was fine.
The staff where wonderful, hotel clean and comfortable and close to trains, buses. The staff made it feel like home for us. Would highly recommend The Lord Nelson to any one thinking of staying in Liverpool.
Low seats in the dinning room, which is just a minor thing.
Convenient for station, buses and city .Buffet contential breakfast was good
Noisy lift . No chair or desk in room .In adequate lighting
Everything was ok
The flat TV the shower Very close to the principal train station
Too much noise at night. I could hear everything. Very Poor quality mattress and pillows Bad smell in the bedroom (cigarette and humidity)
Walking distance to the station and town centre. Good breakfast, helpful staff.
Room a bit poky but that's England generally.
It was close to the empire ,were we was going x
Room next to stair case so could hear creaking of guests coming in all night x then the noise from club till 5am . You could feel the beat from music in your bed x I was shattered when I got home next day .
