Set in its own gardens, Tudor Lodge Inn is a traditional, family-run property with its own pub and restaurant. Located in Jameston, it is only a 5-minute drive to the coast.

Score from 111 reviews Very good
nothing that really stood out only the friendly staff.
Two beds joined to make a king size, duvet did not cover edges of the bed and the runner on the top was single bed size. not impressed. Room and corridor smelt fusty.
Helpful and friendly staff, spacious room, quiet surroundings, well maintained with all service areas and accommodation cleaned to a high standard. Will definitely book again next year.
Room 102 was superb, we usually get rubbish rooms off your website. Sam was a credit to this hotel, she was great
Easy access with off road car parking. Spacious bedroom reasonable size bathroom, ample hot water.
On the surface presents well, however staircase to rooms very dirty needed good vacuum and carpet shampooing. The same applied to bedroom carpet, plastic beer can holder underneath edge of mattress on carpet. Floor tiles in bathroom stained needed washing.
The staff were very friendly, rooms are quite modern and very clean. Food was delicious and great value for money. Good place to stay.
Carpet on stair area was very grubby. Bar and reception area appear quite tired and in need of modernisation. Wifi connection not great.
Location was ideal
Lights not working. Breakfast not enjoyable, coffee, needs to be a fresh individual pot for you when you arrive for your breakfast, not stewing on a hot plate since the first person arrived for breakfast. Wi-Fi overloaded by 9am and could not log on.
Beds comfortable Room spacious Breakfast excellent
Carpets stained and dirty
Breakfast, dinner, drink, shower
Dark, hot room and TV lost signal
Friendly staff were helpful.
Buildings and carpets about ready for an update.
A very enjoyable stay with friendly staff and a comfortable room at a very reasonable price. Thank you.
Really liked the location and the convenience to the surrounding countryside. Some beautiful restaurants on the habour. Lord Nelson has a cosy pub feel with loads of history.
Nothing really, though keep in mind the Lord Nelson is a pub not a hotel. It is a little tired but that didn't impact the stay.
I liked that the manager moved us straight to a room where there would be less noise. His number two appeared to favour placing us into a noisy room and move us only if we complained.
It is a noisy and busy pub -- which is fair enough and revelers seemed to be have a really good time. However, I would not have booked the room if I had known in advance that it was "Meatloaf evening" then I would not have booked. On the whole the hotel is tired and rather expensive for what is essentially an old bed and breakfast.
location, friendly staff, good evening meals with a lot of choice, breakfast choice was good (apart from fresh fruit)
the hotel was a bit "sad", needs a coat of paint everywhere and the carpets cleaned or replaced. our bathroom was huge but there was no surface to place anything on and the only windowsill was 6 foot plus high. Likewise in the bedroom also. The breakfast advertised fresh fruit, but they only offered oranges and soft apples and one choice flavour of yogurt on one day. One hand towel had lipstick on which I placed in the bath to be replaced, but it wasn't.
good size room.staff always willing to help.I will be recommending.the Lord Nelson to all friends and family.
Noisy being on the main road. works also being done in the harbour also noisy. I could not get any wife connection at all. I did ring reicption.
Food was better than reviews indicated, was defeated better than pub grub, staff very very friendly so worth coming to eat
Room terrible bed uncomfortable can hear slightest noise in joining room shower luke warm....
The location, the super-friendly staff, the good quality and value of the food in the restaurant in the evening and the hearty welsh breakfast. We had two double beds in our bedroom which were so very comfortable - I slept soundly. Yes it's an old hotel that looks a bit tired in places but it was excellent value for money and we enjoyed our stay. There is no lift as other reviewers have noted but it wasn't a problem for us as we are fit and healthy and managed quite easily.
The layout of our bathroom - it was huge but had no shelf space! The light over the sink wasn't working and also many of the lamps and sidelights in our bedroom weren't working either so we had to get out of bed to put the main light off. Small things but they were slightly annoying and should have been picked up by housekeeping. Unfortunately I forgot to mention it when we checked out as the receptionist was so friendly and chatty I got distracted!
Friendly Staff. Option to have packed lunch for boat instead of breakfast. Quiet and spacious room.
Room hot (the weather was hot). Provided small electric fan when asked but still quite stuffy.
Meals where a bit slow waited 1 hour after ordering
Lord Nelson was good - we did not have to go out for dinner. Breakfast was good, could order what you wanted. Beds were good and had a large spacious room.
Heated towel rail did not work - was it supposed to? Light above mirror in bathroom did not work. Heaps of space in room. WiFi was poor.
Staff did their best at a very busy time but the hotel was understaffed ; for example, at breakfast there was only one member of staff and sometimes there was a wait for service. There were not enough tables and some people had to wait
The tables in the restaurant were grubby and slow to clear. The stairs to the bedrooms were very dirty and gave an unpleasant impression.
The location was great. The staff were lovely.
The furnishings, carpets etc were stained and worn, hotel needed top to bottom refurbishment.
Good location and views food good and comfy bed
It was a very hot day and could not open windows and no fan
hotel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. food was good with a hearty breakfast. lovely view of harbour. lovely double room trendy decor.
mattress was limp which was a let down to a lovely room.
