Really liked the location and the convenience to the surrounding countryside. Some beautiful restaurants on the habour. Lord Nelson has a cosy pub feel with loads of history.
Nothing really, though keep in mind the Lord Nelson is a pub not a hotel. It is a little tired but that didn't impact the stay.
good size room.staff always willing to help.I will be recommending.the Lord Nelson to all friends and family.
Noisy being on the main road. works also being done in the harbour also noisy. I could not get any wife connection at all. I did ring reicption.
The location, the super-friendly staff, the good quality and value of the food in the restaurant in the evening and the hearty welsh breakfast. We had two double beds in our bedroom which were so very comfortable - I slept soundly. Yes it's an old hotel that looks a bit tired in places but it was excellent value for money and we enjoyed our stay. There is no lift as other reviewers have noted but it wasn't a problem for us as we are fit and healthy and managed quite easily.
The layout of our bathroom - it was huge but had no shelf space! The light over the sink wasn't working and also many of the lamps and sidelights in our bedroom weren't working either so we had to get out of bed to put the main light off. Small things but they were slightly annoying and should have been picked up by housekeeping. Unfortunately I forgot to mention it when we checked out as the receptionist was so friendly and chatty I got distracted!
Friendly Staff. Option to have packed lunch for boat instead of breakfast. Quiet and spacious room.
Room hot (the weather was hot). Provided small electric fan when asked but still quite stuffy.
Meals where a bit slow waited 1 hour after ordering
Lord Nelson was good - we did not have to go out for dinner. Breakfast was good, could order what you wanted. Beds were good and had a large spacious room.
Heated towel rail did not work - was it supposed to? Light above mirror in bathroom did not work. Heaps of space in room. WiFi was poor.
Staff did their best at a very busy time but the hotel was understaffed ; for example, at breakfast there was only one member of staff and sometimes there was a wait for service. There were not enough tables and some people had to wait
The tables in the restaurant were grubby and slow to clear. The stairs to the bedrooms were very dirty and gave an unpleasant impression.
The location was great. The staff were lovely.
The furnishings, carpets etc were stained and worn, hotel needed top to bottom refurbishment.
Good location and views food good and comfy bed
It was a very hot day and could not open windows and no fan
hotel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. food was good with a hearty breakfast. lovely view of harbour. lovely double room trendy decor.
mattress was limp which was a let down to a lovely room.
Hard bed,jealous girlfriend.
Located between two good destinations for day trips : Pembroke and St David's Easy to find
Not clean, worn down, breakfast not up to standard and poor location in Milford Haven
The room was clean and modern, bathroom modern and fresh. Breakfast was quick and plentiful.
You could hear the water coming down the waste pipe from the other rooms.... A little unpleasant. Room had a thin wall as you could hear the man snoring next door....
There was no wifi
Spacious room and bathroom. Helpful young man on desk.
Breakfast. Both food and service were poor. Lack of a lift.
We love staying at the Lord Nelson. We grow up in Milford but had to move because of job. We visit family and we love staying there. The staff are so helpful and polite. We love see the same staff (Liz). That girl works hard at breakfast time but all the staff are helpful. We eat there in the evening and enjoy the meal and atmosphere.
The breakfast was very good, although the buffet items were limited and poorly presented.
The wifi is terrible. But then again, it's a 200-year-old building with thick walls!
Big rooms. Nice breakfast
Dirty stairs area
Room was nice sized, bed comfortable. Friendly staff.
The hotel has no lift which is okay but when you get to the room hallways the wall of hot stifling air is not pleasant. Our room was exceptionally warm. Room 107 overlooks the staff break area and when the windows were open the fire escape-area motion detected security light painted our room with VERY bright light. We asked for a fan and they had given out their last one about a half hour later.
Polite helpful staff & a very nice big breakfast. Perfect location for access to the new marina.
The landings & rooms were a bit shabby, holes on the walls, no lock on the room window. It is in need of decoration.
Very helpfull staff.Friendly and happy.
Maybe. No lift but not a real problem.
Size of twin room very good
Restraunt closing at 9pm and us arriving at 9.05pm after 300 mile journey :-(
Staff are exceptionally helpful. I stay fairly regularly to visit relatives and we meet at the hotel, which accommodates our rather noisy gatherings! Food is good and excellent value. Rooms are comfortable. Gardens have wonderful view of Milford Haven,
