Location, largish car park
Rooms are very tired, signs of mildew in bathroom, shaving light not working, nails sticking up through the toilet vinyl floor, sockets on the wall loose, strange orientation of light switches, road noise
This hotel is very good value for money. The building is over 100 years old and decor needs updating. However it was a very pleasant stay with clean rooms and comfortable beds.
the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable
the room (incl bathroom) was very cold , the hot water tap didn't work , the tv kept losing signal , the 'full cooked breakfast' was very small and not worth the money
most of it
no hot water and no working television, somebody elses hair in my bed
Great distance from the Castle. Free car park (-If you get a place.) You can do your ironing. :)
After check in the cleaner lady was still in the room about half an hour. The floor was shaking because they hold a birthday party under our room. We did not have water from the tap and we had to have shower in cold water. (-Quickly because not much water came through.) TV stopped to work few times. No internet connection. The bathroom was smelly, the windows were dirty.
falling apart and very tired looking
After initially reading the reviews on here i was scepticle but i was plesantly suprised. Yes its a little in need of tlc but it all adds to the history of the place. We were in room 115 where we learnt that that room was once 2 rooms and door 114 was still in the corridor but on the other side was our spacious bathroom.(blocked off of course). The staff were friendly and would definetly go back.
The musty smell in corridor.
the location was great
Shower was very poor, bed was dipping in the middle, wifi was'nt working..
the only good thing is that the hotel has a private parking.
very noisy, you can't rest in the hotel, you hear everything the neighbor form upstairs is doing. when they are walking all the furniture is trembling. the wifi didn't worked for 4 out of 6 days. sometimes there wasn't hot water. sometimes the tv signal was missing. worst hotel of my life. avoid it
The bed was nice and big
Tv didn't work and no heating, also problem with reception as they said they didn't have us booked in so had to wait ages before we could go In to our room
Know what the really meaning of being demobbed felt like when I checked out. Very nice staff
its old and smells, the furniture falls apart, bed pillows smelt old from extensive use. WIFI is hit or miss, bath rusty in places, shower gunged up with lime scale. This hotel is in need of some serious investment.
Everything 1st room we were sent to didn't even have beds in! The room we did get had loose wires plaster coming off ceiling and was filthy plenty of pics taken
The location and breakfast
The smell in the hallway's, the old carpets in the room just a horrible room and no hot water in the shower and the room was cold, bed was awful.
friendly, clean, warm, central location
bedroom could be better, i.e.decor, loose taps in bathroom, shower
The central location of the hotel and the good car parking made our visit to Warwick easy.
The building is very old and we had a few safety concerns relating to the location of steps and lack of handrails in the bathroom.
Location and parking
Filthy, smelly, old fashioned, no hot water in the morning, Hot water in basin was brown, frayed carpets, everywhere looked run down.this place should be shut down for a few months and have a complete makeover. Everywhere in the hotel smells musty
Ideal location, value for money onsite parking (although is also a pay and display so so other guests had problems accessing the parking)
Squeaky floorboards above us, slamming doors :(
Near to the town centre, free parking and wi fi.
Room very small and cramped, considerably smaller than shown on web site. Secondary double glazing missing and room on a busy main street so very noisy. Also impossible to open the window to allow fresh air in which was needed because the bathroom felt and smelled grubby. No central heating, electric covector heater instead.
Free parking, free WiFi, central location within walking distance
Brilliant location, polite and friendly staff, comfortable bed, good WiFi.
Unpleasant smell, tired decor, obvious water damage to ceiling, no hot water in shower!
Rooms old-fashioned, tired, carpets thread-bear. Room decor in desperate need of updating. Window glass cracked in room.
Staff acted quickly with room temperature. Location was excellent
The bedroom was cold on arrival. windows rattled throughout the night. Bathroom Taps were loose, no running cold water in the bath. Shower was a trickle.
The location was fantastic for the races and the castle and the centre of Warwick and only a 10 minute walk from the train station.
This hotel would be best rated as a 2 star hotel and not a 3 star. For a Hotel with so much character and potential it was a shame that our first impression on our room was shocking!! The bathroom could do with refurbishment to remove the black mould stains which clearly cannot be removed wihtout doing so! The decor of the room itself was awful, the water marks down walls, the wallpaper peeling and the flaky paint on the ceiling was not too pleasing on the eye, it was also really cold in the room, albeit it was clean just looked very shabby. Th receptionist was helpful but the bar area itself was also dated and they clearly did not know what they were doing!!
