Room too small, bunks were for children but not suitable, gap between bed and wall. Bathroom was tiny and very poor shower.
Two-level-beds in rooms for 4 people.
Location is great
Room needed a good clean and bathroom was not big enough to move in
The location was fantastic , just a couple of minutes walk to the park , and tube to access all of london . The area which the hotel is in , is quiet , but a short walk takes you into a lovely , shopping and eating area , whick is lively and vibrant in the evening . The room although small was adequate. It had a small shower cubical and ensuite toilet breakfast o.k. a full english would have been better . . A good base to travel from .
The room above us had a very loud creaky floor , and the people staying there , spent till the early hours of the morning (2am) walking arround and banging doors .
The was hot No fans or air conditioning Breakfast was cold and take too long to be served also complicated to order from breakfast slip
Room too hot no fans or air conditioning. Breakfast poor carpets on landing worn out
The location was good, lovely neighbourhood really close to Kensington Garden and Hyde Park.
Saying that the room was really small is an understatement. The toilet resembled those from planes, only with a shower (and I'm not trying to be fun... it's the sad truth). The room was on the 4th floor, where you have to get by those traditional English narrow steep stairs, which I usually find picturesque, except that I was carrying my luggage and no one from the staff asked if I needed any help. The room was quite noisy during the night, you could hear children crying. Breakfast wasn't good either, you could just pick four items of the menu, including coffee. So even if like me, you just want a place to sleep and get a shower, I wouldn't recommend it.
The room was 6m2 incl bathroom, and it must have been up to 28 degrees in there. Very uncomfortable. Not recommended for the solo traveler.
Light breakfast was included, but had to pay extra for real coffee - only instant was included. How mean is that ?
Tiny really basic room Grotty shower / bathroom Very thin walls
No kettle Beds made of 18mm ply Poor value for money Would rather sleep in a skip would probably be more comfortable
The location was very good but the building a was old but not dirty at all.
i was on the last floor (the 4th) and there was no elevator on the building. I had to pay 2 pounds a day for the wi-fi facilities and there was no amenities on the room. Also you have to pay if you want to change your towels.
location, clean towels, sheets
bathroom insanely small, no lift, very noisy (hallway, neighbours..), for the money pretty low standard
Family room not friendly for young family
bathing poor, noisy in early morning, etc.
cheap and close to the centre
The location is very close to the tubes, buses and amenities. The staff were very friendly and were kind enough to store my hand luggage when I arrived too early for my room to be available. The room was as advertised, small but comfortable. For the price (£69 for my particular stay) I was very happy and would consider staying there again on my next visit to London.
The location was great.Friendly staff.Good value for money.
Seemed that there were not enough staff to cope with the busy breakfast times but staff were very polite. Other guests were quite noisy coming and going with doors slamming
Easily accessible to other parts of London and transport. Lots of restaurants, pubs and small grocery stores close by.
Too many stairs, no elevators and no in room coffee or tea facilities. Towels too small. Inside of the hotel looked very old and worn!
Cheap not clean
Very good location,nice area
The room smelled musty
The most outstanding aspect of my stay was the staff. Very very professional, warm, and helpful. They were one of the real highlights of my stay in London. The breakfast was also quite good. They even gave me a take away bag when I didn't have time to stay.
The bed was comfortable
Breakfast was poor Arriving late at night staff took a long time to find our booking and then we were told that we needed to leave the building and walk 300 yards down the road to another building. When I came to check out it took the staff 15 minutes to print me an invoice
The staff were amazing, they could not do enough for you. Location was great and everything In walkable distance. Breakfast was included and lovely.
Had to buy wifi which we did not. If you like a good bathroom then this is probably not the best accomidation for you
Like a doss house Scruffy, awful rooms with small beds, tiny smelly bathroom
Rubbish included continental breakfast, paid for English breakfast separately which was rubbish too. No drinks facility in room, confusing hotel layout. Need to pay for TV remote. Just awful. Never going there again
The bed linen was clean The cleaning staff were polite
The reception staff were less than helpful and one in particular was quite rude. When we entered the room (up many narrow flights of stairs - no lift), we were overwhelmed by the putrid stench of what we think was pooled water / blocked drain. Clearly the hotel was aware of this issue as it was a cool evening and the window had been left open (presumably to air the room). When we complained about it, we were offered air freshener (which we'd already purchased). No other assistance was offered. Other issues included: the broken sash window; hospital beds circa 1920s with uncomfortable single mattresses; a tv that didn't work properly (picture froze / jumped) and was generally unwatchable; the shower was less than a square metre in area and although the water was hot, there was very low water pressure; to secure a seat for breakfast entailed waiting outside the basement room to be seated - only the door was closed and no one was checking (we walked in finally). In short this was not a hotel - at best it was a hostel. That would not have been an issue if it had been advertised as such because the bedding was clean and the location was reasonable. However, the disgusting smell and lack of assistance to deal with it, was really poor service.
