Nice view out the window. Good breakfast.
Didn't meet owners other than to hand over money in the morning - it was a left yourself in and find your own room arrangement. Dirty chord on bathroom light switch. TV on mantel piece at right angles to the bed with unsafe stretched power cable - couldn't watch TV comfortably. No battery in the carbon monoxide detector. Had to go somewhere else to get breakfast as owners don't do it anymore. When I pulled the curtains open in the morning, the whole rail fell down. Power point for the kettle was on the floor. Whole place smelt of smoke so if you are a non-smoker, best going elsewhere.
Having to go elsewhere for breakfast - but it was a good breakfast
Nice clean room Nice ambience Nice people
Room on the small side for a long stay Breakfast was in a cafe down the road rather than in the house
Owner was very friendly, helped us sort out a problem with the wifi when we arrived. Key was left waiting for us on the day we checked in. Room was clean, good shower.
Had we not been incredibly lucky finding a spot on the street for our tiny car, parking would have been a hassle. Breakfast is not at the main building but is down at a cafe in the city. I'm in pretty good shape, but climbing that hill is brutal. Very steep and not fun if you've already been doing a lot of walking. We actually skipped breakfast when we checked out, because we didn't want to walk back up to our car. I think the owner is trying to get out of the B&B game because they had already sold the cafe and required payment to be in cash (which was a little weird)
Bed springs were broken and bed was extremely uncomfortable, had the impression that the owner did not really want to be there, breakfast was` a three minute walk down the hill, parking was in the street which was very narrow and no curtains in the bedroom, not sure how they got their rating.
Decor and freedom View from Room 2 is
Overpriced for facilities offered Squishy mattress Wierd numbering of rooms and no-one to greet you Room 2 has low eaves so we kept banging our heads Too too tiny ensuite inches from the bed Walk to cafe for breakfast - OK in good weather but otherwise ....
Well located and comfortable accommodation for our short visit.
There was no access to a fridge to store milk for infants and other perishable foods.
Cosy bedroom on the top of the hill. Good price/quality ratio.
Nice view from our room, and Megan was super nice and helpful. Carolyn's cafe was delightful, and Gypsy the car was very sweet.
Room was much too small for a double, the bedding was of very poor quality, we were sharing the shower with everyone in the b and b (at least 6 rooms), and Megan, who was great was at work all day and not able to help us when we arrived and had difficulty finding it.
The views were excellent, the breakfast once you located the cafe was nice
The beds were like concrete. And being on crutches it was very difficult being on the top floor
The breakfast was greasy and poor quality
The room was very clean and smartly decorated.
The twin room did not have enough room for two suitcases, the shower was tiny and the beds not comfortable. The linen was well worn. The breakfast was advertised as being at a local cafe. This was down in the town by a steep walk and was in a "greasy spoon" and not great compared to most B&Bs. It was overpriced and chosen because avaiability in the town was limited.
It was difficult to find the Place but it was not a big deal.
The way we were greeted, looked after and made to feel welcome. Perfect room, with a fantastic view.
nothing to complain about at all
Directions to the cafe could have been clearer.
We find our kee in the hall Very small shaouher Breakfirst far from the room
We really enjoyed our stay at Lorne View. Carolyn was most accommodating even with our very late arrival. View was fabulous, accommodation suited our needs and breakfast set us up for the day! Lorne View is central and yet removed from the business of the harbour side. We will be back!
Poky room in the attic. No lounge. Breakfast half mile away in cafeteria (pretty good though)
Good and clean rooms, nice staff, excellent breakfast
Fantastic view from 3rd floor room. Very comfortable room. A short (but steep) walk to the centre of Oban and restaurants. Great breakfast at host's nearby cafe.
everything was great. We just wished we had stayed longer (only one night). Lovely hosts (how do you work your air conditioner???….private joke), excellent accommodations and breakfast was amazing. Views from the front of B&B were spectacular.
hard pressed to think of something other than the wifi connection was poor
Clean and tidy with style. Excellent location and fantastic breakfast.
Nice spot. Breakfast in the cafe is a great idea done well.
The view from our room was spectacular Carolyn was very friendly and helpful.
Stunning views Room and bed were very good and well equipped
Shower was temperemantal
