Fab reception area, very appealing, delightful to sit next to the fire in the wall. Bar and restaurant adjacent to reception, smart appearance Reception staff always helpful Owner extremely pleasant and helpful Ate in the restaurant twice, food was excellent. Hotel spotlessly clean
Quality of furniture in bedroom Banging doors from other guests, but no fault of hotel 20 min walk from city centre but there are plenty of bars/restaurants in the surrounding area
The location and price was great, the staff were helpful and friendly.we also liked the semi transparent window in the bathroom.
There is a kettle provided in the room although when we went to fill it up the sink was too small and we had to use bath, also our room was next to a door in the corridor that slammed shut every time someone used it maybe if it was fitted with a top hinge to ensure the door shuts slow reducing the banging.
One room was more spacious than the other but smaller one was adequate for its purpose. Was a taxis ride away from city centre but not a negative as was less than £6 a journey. Restaurant food was excellent & very reasonable price.
Unfortunately, one of the rooms windows was situated beside the extractor fan piping for the kitchen extractor so was woken up at 6am with noise going through the piping!
The room was cleaned everyday.
The breakfast was exactly the same everyday.
The view from our view was nice the room was clean and tidy
Good value last minute booking deal. very attentive breakfast staff who made sure I got gluten-free bread as requested
Signage in the corridors was poor - dificult to find your way back to lift
Location is very good, exellent for SECC. Rooms are rather quiet, and the personnel friendly.
The furniture is a bit old
Staff very helpful and friendly. Location great for Hydro.
Room a bit small. Couldn't plug in kettle also radiator in bathroom not working.
everthing was great just rooms very small and beds not great but loved it
rooms to small plus beds werent great
restaurant, bed, bathroom, wifi
the room between the chair underneath the desk. the room between the bed and the wall. it was a little small
The room was a good size and the facilities were all clean.
We stayed at the Lorne hotel to attend a concert. On our return we found a 9 piece band playing in the hotel. We went up to our room but it was so loud, we asked to speak to a manager . Unfortunately the manager (Frank) was rude to us. I complaints to the duty manager the next day and I am still waiting to hear back about the complaint. We receive very poor customer service and would not stay again.
Great location. Good facilities. Brand new carpet was a treat!
Decor, location, friendliness of staff, value for money
Room was cold on arrival, and again while we were out for the evening. Heater only comes on when the card is in the slot inside the room, would've been better if the heating could have stayed on while we were out. There was no change in the till at the bar and we were left waiting for 10 minutes for our drinks and change at a bar filled with empty glasses and bottles. This was around 11.30pm.
Location great for Hydro. Bus stop outside for regular buses into centre of Glasgow.
Location friendly staff.
Check-in not possible until after 5.o'clock. having to pay for what I thought was a complementary tea whilst unable to get into room for period in excess of 1 hour due failure to door lock.
Location Helpful staff
Sound insulation (Noise from the hall)
buffet breakfast was great and staff were polite and helpfull.Room was clean although small was adequate for our short stay.Only a 7-10 minute walk to sse Hydro.
clean and comfortable good breakfast
room very small..
Staff friendly and helpful. Good Restaurant. Clean but small room.
Outside the room we stayed in was a ventilation duct for the kitchens. This was extremely noisy. It shut down overnight but I was awakened by the noise little after six in the morning. It is a terrible noise and brought on a blinding headache. I spoke to the receptionist about it. She apologised, said they knew about it but couldn't do anything. Why oh why then is the room still in use. Terrible experience!!!
Great location for the hyrdo & secc, not far from the center of Glasgow. Good value.
The location was perfect for concert at hydro.
The smallest double bed ever!!
Rooms were better than expected for the price
Asked for room on high floor but was given room on second floor next to the bin area- glass bottles thrown in late at night and bins emptied at 715am in the morning. Sinks too small to fill kettles to make tea.
We stayed because of proximity to SECC and after the concert even though it was late, we got some nice food in the bar when we got back.
Our room was tiny. The bathroom had a damp smell and I never slept a wink because the bed was so uncomfortable! All the springs on the mattress could easily be felt and it was sunken and far too soft. So I was sore in the morning from feeling the metal springs against my body all night. Worst and smallest room we've ever stayed in and we stay in hotels quite a lot.
