Staff helped in every way :)
The staff were friendly and that was important as we arrived relatively late after a long day travelling. The room was spacious comfortable and spotless. The beds were very comfortable. I would like to think that I will stay again as I expect to be back in Glasgow and the Lorne Hotel was excellent value for money.
The view of the bins from the window when we were having breakfast !
Had to go downstairs to the reception to collect ironing board and iron, it wasn't delivered to my room! The mini bar was empty! There was a slight smell in the toilet, like sewage
Quality of fixtures and fittings Location
Room next to lift shaft and no sleep. No additional room available, no sympathy at check our
Room are very clean also staff their friendly.
Beautiful interior and very comfortable
The room was fabulous, lots of windows and space, luxurious.
The shower wasn't the best but I've seen a lot worse
~Me and my partner went for a weekend stay we stayed at the Lorne Hotel Friday - Sunday. the Friday we got there we just sat at the Cocktail bar down the stair the staff were really friendly, we didn't see a cocktail on the menue of there but we asked at the bar and they goggled to see what was in it and they made it up for us which I thought was good of them to do. the restaurant attached to the hotel was also great for a meal and really filling but was defos worth the money, the thing I liked about this hotel was that anyone off the street can sit in the cocktail bar or go into the restaurant. the staff were really friendly and we will be returning to this hotel again.
nothing to really put in this the hotel was perfect to us !!!
Cleanliness, staff, confort.
Small room, weird smell.
Staff were friendly bar area nice,
Carpets were worn and stained room was small
Comfortable stay good price and short taxi journey or 20-30 min walk into the centre, quiet.
5 minutes walk from Kelvingrove Park - hotel clean and breakfast substantial.
Both bedroom and bathroom a bit on the small side.
Great location, nice room, would recommend
Corridors not sign posted at all.
Stylish and great location
Checked in. Went to room on 5th floor to find room key didn't work so had to have it reissued. Room wasn't cleaned once over the entire weekend nor towels replaced. Staff no friendly or helpful. Noise in room from elevator doesn't serve for a good nights sleep.
Place and general quality
The room is terrible noisy 24 hours because of external machines. Impossible sleep
The staff where very helpful which made some of the short comings with our room bearable.
Our room was right next to an outside air vent which was very noisy but which turned off at around midnight each night. The shower was a bit weird with a large semi transparent window that looks into the shower from the bedroom.
We stayed here because it was recommended by a work colleague. We were attending the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony rehearsal and found the No 2 bus a great way of getting across the city. Walking into the city centre is also very easy. Comfortable rooms and friendly staff
Room was a bit small but adequate
Friendly staff , very clean , and really enjoyed my stay , very good value .
Noise from air con outside room
Clean, good service, great value for money
The room was a bit small
The cocktails were great and the bar and restaurant spacious and felt quite high end. Breakfast was good
Room was very small and wasn't consistent with the overall feel of the hotel. No free toiletries or bathrobes. Breakfast was spoilt slightly by the hovering going on whilst we were eating. Realise the Commonwealth Games put prices up but a 100% mark up is very steep
I liked the indian restaurant, thought the food was amazing
Didn't like the fact my room smelt like either damp, or toilet or something horrible. Plumbing was very loud in the ceiling. And the Tv was in the worst position for to watch. (On the wall not facing the bed) For 80 pounds I would have thought the room would have at least smelt nice, or simply not bad.
I took advantage of the friendly atmosphere and excitement in Glasgow in the build up to the games.
Housekeeping pestering me when it was an hour and a quarter until check out time.
Very friendly and professional staff.
