Excellent location; excellent food; friendly, welcoming staff. Very pleasant, comfortable and spacious rooms. Whole experience was first class. Television on off switch ten foot above the ground. Needed to stand on a stool to reach it. Wet shavers have no mirror above the sink. |

Decoration a little tired otherwise fine. Fare prices and very adequate accomodation and service. £8 per night for dog-quite high. Tired decoration |

Good food and freindly staff Room was dark and somewhat dated, and cleanliness was an issue |

The room was light, airy and spacious. The food was excellent and there was a good choice on the menu. The breakfast tasted 'home cooked' regardless of the time that you chose to eat. The staff were friendly and polite. Pool changing was limited. |

Food was reasonable good. Bar prices very good. Reception staff not very friendly. Room dull, dingy and needing a face lift.Bathroom the same, toilet seat broken.Noise transmitted from upstairs terrible and kept us awake most of the night. No sound proofing at all. |

It was in a good setting. We had no hot water on the first day and, given that I had only been able to check in at 3pm (too late in my view) and has just been for a swim and was freezing cold I did not think the reception staff was particularly sympathetic. She did advise that a plumber would be there in 30 mins but I had to come up with a solution myself - i.e. go back to the pool house and use the shower there. Also we were asked if we would like a paper on Sunday morning but none was reserved, luckily the receptionist gave me hers. |

The hotel was excellent for family with teenagers, adults could enjoy resturant while teenagers used the bar area for meals and games etc The tennis court was in need of resurfacing - a frustrating game of tennis when ball bounces inconsistently! |

The most positive aspect was the food and service in the restaurant. I was not impressed with the room. Aside from booking a double and being given a twin which couldn't be changed, the decor and cleanliness was very poor with holes in the bedroom walls, mildew on the bathroom walls and grout that needs refreshing. The walls are also thin resulting in hearing every noise from the next room. I have stayed in preferable hotels for the price. |

Clean and tidy room and helpfulness of staff. Location was ideal and central to airport, beaches and Eden Project etc. It's a bit tired and in need of a re-fit |

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, quiet location and comfortable room. Rather dated decor in public rooms, my room had a bath but no shower. |

The room we stayed in was very spacious and we didn't experience any of the noise problems in other reviews. The location is excellent for touring, with many places to visit close by and excellent walk to the castle from the hotel. The pool seemed to be occupied by swimming lessons a lot of the time and the changing facilities are a bit spartan. |

It was a friendly and comfortable place to stay. I was disappointed that the Sunday evening Carvery had been moved to the lunch time without being informed. |

The location and building. Good price too. My bed was a bit rickety, lightbulbs didn't work and I wasn't keen on the decor in my room. |

The location and the breakfast staff were excellent !! Security was poor, another guest had been given a key to our room and just walked in, thinking it was his room, and we had to complain that there was no hot water when we arrived. |

There was no heating at night so it was so cold in the room that I had to take the duvet of the other bed and wear a jumper and it was still not enough to keep me warm. On the Saturday night it was impossible to sleep because there was a party in the main building and drunken people were speaking loudly outside. Far too expensive for the level of comfort in the room. Easy to break into the room |
