The accommodation was clean and comfortable, however I was not given the option to stay in the main building which I would have preferred. It was unclear when booking that my room was in Louisa lodge. |

The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. We enjoyed walking through the large gardens. Unfortunately our room was in the Louisa Lodge not the actual hotel, but it did not spoil our stay there. |

The staff were very helpful and had good knowledge about the area and activities. I will be going back for another stay with my family very soon. Excellent. Good WiFi reception, everything you need for either business or pleasure. |

Although near to Swanage centre it was very quiet and peaceful. The room we stayed in had view of the Isle of Wight, the sea, the pier and the cliffs around the bay. It was very relaxing, just what was needed. |

Our stay was very relaxing the staff were friendly, good car parking and very central for the town, the room was very comfortable and roomy, we have ticked shopping not for designer shops but there are a good selection and some old interesting shops , we were lucky with the weather and the beach is gorgeous , lots of pubs which do good food and lots of tea places, all in all very nice. |

We were in the Louisa Lodge side, so was modern. The room was nice, clean and a good size. We had our own balcony facing the garden and as facing east could have seen the sunrise. Faclities as expected in the room. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel grounds are quite beautiful. Great location as in town, right by shops and beach and wasn't noisy. Breakfast was good with good variaty. We couldn't get a WiFi signal for wharever reason. We booked a double bed room which was two single beds joined together, so had a little ridge in the middle which wasn't really that bad but was good as that was effectively a superking size. |

The area around the hotel and lodge was very nice but I thought I was staying in the main hotel not the lodge The web site makes you think you will be staying in the luxury of the main hotel, when in fact your staying in an overpriced travel lodge round the back |

The hotel location was excellent and the garden and views good. Fried bread served with the full English was a good touch. |

Friendly & helpful staff, good location, nice charming historical building Despite rooms being empty in the main building we were originally put in the newer Louisa Lodge annexe whic unfortunately reminded me of a travel lodge room & was very very cold. However, we asked to be moved & they accomodated this request without any fuss. |

Friendliness and efficiency of staff all within a lovely and interesting setting with the bonus of on-site free parking. There were no alternatives to the menu which was purely fish or meat, as enjoyable as those dishes were. |

Lovely big room - airy, clean and tidy. Staff friendly and polite Lack of choice on a la carte menu meant we went out to eat each evening; tv very old - no Freeview facilities, bar only open in the evening - no means of having a cup of tea or coffee except in rooms - would have liked to be able to sit somewhere more comfortable. We felt the hotel was overpriced and lacked facilities |
