In the heart of Scotland, the Station Hotel is in a grand Victorian mansion, in Perth center and next to Perth Train Station. The impressive hotel offers spacious rooms and Scottish breakfasts.

The Merryburn Hotel is a few minutes' walk from Dunkeld and Birnam railway station at the gateway to the Highlands and is a listed Victorian building.
Score from 11 reviews Wonderful
The comfort and convenience of the room with a walk in shower
Can't think of anything
Enjoyed my stay, really great staff and good food. Perfect location for my trip
FOOD WAS TOP RATE FOR A HOTEL OF YOUR STANDARD ALSO GOOD HOUSEKEEPING
YOU QUOTE FREEVIEW TV BUT IT IS VERY LIMITED COMPARED TO MY OWN ONLY 40 MILES AWAY
Staff, breakfast, location
Pipes a bit noisy
We liked the friendly and helpful staff
The amount of twisting stairs leading to the bedrooms making it quite difficult for us to access
Friendly, helpful staff. Short taxi ride into the city centre or 15 minute walk. Good breakfast.
Wifi connection was intermittent in room. Decor was a bit tired. No key for outside door given out so if returning after 11pm you need to call the night porter.
Staff and parking
Single room which was noisy. the water power was very poor in both the wash hand basin and the shower. woken at 5.15am with a member of staff hoovering in the bar area below my room. When I reported all these things whilst checking out there was no offer of reduction in price. I will not be using this hotel again.
Comfort, welcoming helpful staff. value for money,
shower head was faulty, but usable.
Food was very good - room was spacious. Good shower.
Noisy neighbours above us
The location was good, only a 15 min walk to town. Room was very clean and breakfast was good.A good choice of cereals, fruit, etc., the cooked breakfast was freshly cooked and well presented Lots of magazines at reception for you to borrow. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was freezing on arrival and i dont feel the cold EVER. To be fair i think they would have gave us a heater if we wanted one but we were out of the room most of the time so initially thought it wouldnt be necessary. I thought it would have warmed up on our return about 8.30 pm but it wasnt much better. We went to bed but i woke at 5 for the bathroom and it was baltic!! I did mention all this to the receptionist and she did say that the heating goes off at 11pm and comes back on at about 4am but i think in the winter months it should be left on, even at a lower temperature. We had a twin room and the beds were really past their best. I would stay again if it was only one night but i would ask for a heater.
Location good and easy to find
Room small and could do with a freshen up
It is a good dependable hotel that delivers value for money
There was nothing that disliked
The staff were very friendly at all times.
Breakfast service was excellent
mattress should have been binned months ago Ended up with bad back. Rooms are dated
Fast check-in. Well heated room. Decent tv.
You only really need a comfortable bed and hot water. Cold showers are not good in Scotland in November! A few broken lightbulbs. Parking a squeeze. Wifi utterly useless!
The staff were very nice and the food was good , we had a nice weekend , I would go back .
The rooms are very dated and the shower was a nightmare.
the food at the Lovat was excellent as were the staff,as a single girl travelling on her own I felt quite secure and safe which believe me you don't get everywhere even when in company!
the shower in the room was not working properly but I didn't report it as my stay was for business purposes not leisure. Found the room very dated with a selection of electrical sockets BUT very very clean :-)
pleasant staff, excellent breakfast.
our room had a view of a brick wall
hot in the room, but with window open a great deal of traffic noise.
The staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was reasonable. Wifi was ok.
We booked three nights here, as we were visiting our family nearby. We were initially given Room 229, in the annexe. We were in a hurry to get to see the family so although we were very disappointed in the very small and dingy room, we just dropped off our luggage and went out again straight away. When we returned at 10.45pm the external door to the annexe was locked (there was a notice on the door saying it would be locked at 11.pm) so we had to go into the main building, up a couple of flights of stairs, along various corridors and then down a couple of very narrow and steep flights to gain access to the room. Once we began to unpack and take in the surroundings, it became obvious that this is The Hotel That Time Forgot. It has not been refurbished for decades, the fittings, decorations and furnishings are extremely shabby. We had a terrible night's sleep...the mattresses were lumpy and we could feel the springs...the should have been in a skip! The pillows were old, cheap, flat and hard. During the night and very early the next morning there was a lot of noise from the room above...the floorboards were creaking loudly every time the occupant moved around. The final straw was the next morning when we tried to use the bath...the cold tap knob came off in my hand. The bathroom fittings consisted of a toilet, pedestal washbasin and a bath with shower over. The tiling, shower screen and sealant around the bath were mouldy, the door into the bathroom would not stay closed as the locking mechanism was broken. We complained bitterly and demanded another room. We were then offered the choice of two other bigger rooms in the annexe 230 and 233. We decided to take 233, after the lovely staff offered to swap the mattresses from 230. The second and third nights were better, but the quality of the bedding, curtains and decor were just as bad. We paid £230 for three nights in this dump, which is an insult to the reputation of Best Western.
staff, location, food,
decor a bit tired
Staff so helpful
Food menu could be a bit better, but food still very good
The hotel is really shabby. In need of a desperate update. Bed was dreadful. Food was good.
Excellent staff, friendly and helpful. Good restaurant and excellent breakfast once, mediocre second time.
Dismal single room, aged shower and bathroom. Floors that creaked noisily all through the building and all through the night as other guests went to their rooms.
