Bed and staff were excellent.
Good hotel in overall
-Hot water from shower was not consistent. -The hotel switched heating off for hours after midnight. One of my collegues had cold alergy and he had to move.
Everything !! I refused to stay in this hole as the room I was given was not made and was a tip, when I complained at the desk the attending moron told me " I have an issue with your booking" I can try to get a cleaner to come in and make up the room. Then offered a room with a double bed. Not suitable as I was sharing the room with my 17 year old daughter who had a series of interviews at Downing College the next day. I have advised the Hotel I will not tolerate any form of payment to be taken from my Card and will seek redress in the coutrts if they take payment. Over-priced at £92.50p - Rude Dirty and a shocking waste of time and effort to find this crap-house !!
The staff were great and really helpful
a bit outside of the center but public transport is in front of the hotel. goog breakfast, polita staff
Fantastic location for the science park. I've stayed several times, and it has always been clean, and the breakfast has been good.
£1 for Wifi for 24 hours - why bother to charge? Odd minor maintenance things sometimes not done like replacing faulty light bulbs
The beds (I want one), the shower, the breakfasts were awesome, the beds could move around so we had a lot of fun. Easy to cycle into town and good parking facilities. Has free wifi.
The lock was hard to open. That's all overall lovely place.
Flexibility of arrival time (we were stuck in traffic and were late), flexibility of being able to go in and out at any time we liked. Helpful staff when asked for directions etc. Room layout suited our family needs well. Excellent breakfast. Reasonably priced.
Lacks freshness, worn carpet in entrance hall, does not feel fully clean.
The person on duty in the evening was very pleasant and helpful. The room was very good - plenty of space and very clean. Breakfast was included in the price which I like - and it was fine. The hotel is in a good location and the price was very good for Cambridge.
The lavatory cistern dripped for ages!
Me and my partner just stay here for weekend. The staff are friendly and was very helpful with direction and bus service into the city. It is a basic hotel which was clean and breakfast was good. We would stay here again.
Easy to find and parking not a problem when we arrived. Booked 3 rooms - the family rooms were nicer than the twin room but overall pleased as a little worried after reading reviews. All the important bits were clean and I'm quite fussy; it is an older building and cobwebs easy to see but not a problem. Beds comfortable and very quite despite being on main road (my room was at the back though but front room had double glazing). A 'Good morning' from Receptionist was a pleasant surprise after our arrival the evening before and Breakfast was good, nice polite staff and speedy service too. Only there for the night, decided to use the park and ride the next day to see the sights of Cambridge.
No greeting or welcome from man on reception upon arrival, just gave out keys to the three rooms that I had booked. No apology when one of the rooms had twin beds and I had book a double just a comment 'fully booked' and turned the computer screen round presumably expecting that I might have been interested in looking at it instead of an explanation as to what had gone wrong and the sincere apology.
The guy on reception barely welcomed us, and gave us very little information. A light in the room only worked if you screwed the lightbulb in. I just got the impression that the owner of this establishment had given up on running a successful hotel. Every hotel I've ever stayed in, the door to your room automatically locks when shut from the outside, yet our room door didn't, so we spent the first night out not realising our door was open. Again, this could have been mentioned when we checked in. When we checked out, we handed the keys across, and that was it. No mention about how our stay was, no paperwork, nothing. A very odd hotel to stay at.
Breakfast Beds were comfortable Bus stop near by
Traffic noise Unfriendly office staff Mold in bathroom Bathroom very small, basin in bedroo
slamming doors through night.and poor quality breakfast
Typical local style hotel with a restaurant/bar near by. And a small shopping mall close to the hotel. Very convenient.
Facilities/furnitures are little bit too simple.
The breakfast room was lovely, bright and very nicely laid out. Menu options were varied with clear instructions on what could be had for breakfast
Was unable to regulate the heating in the room, radiator pumped out far too much heat, thus making what could have been a good nights sleep very uncomortable as room was too stuffy.
No welcome Dirty corridors Dirty bed sheets Holes in the walls Toilet that's louder than a train going past you Freezing cold bedroom Rock hard sugar Didn't even bother staying for breakfast! Not enough parking, had to park on street. £90!! Would never book again even if it was the last hotel available! Do not stay!
nothing at all
receptionist unhelpful "shower" located in cupboard main lights had an inoperable bulb very noisy at night my sleep was constantly broken with noise from within "hotel" general lack of maintenance - needs a lick of paint new wallpaper and carpets inadequate public transport links hotel room lock inoperative - could not secure my "hotel" room door wardrobes just basically cupboards - no built in furniture wash hand basin right next to "hotel" room door toilet in the same cupboard as "shower" - ok for very slim guests toilet seat not fixed to toilet pan "hotel" room generally shabby "uncared for" and neglected wish I stayed at "Fawlty Towers" and had some fun
Comfortable bed Condiments
Dirty walls Stained bedding and towels
It was very close to the science park.
The walls are flimsy, I heard the TV from next door. A previous occupant had smoked in the room.
MY EXPECTATIONS WAS SURPASSED WITH RESPECT TO ROOM COMFORT, COURTEOUS HOST, VERY RICH FREE BREAKFAST AND HIGH LEVEL HYGIENE
NO DISLIKES. SO FAR SO GOOD
The hotel appeared mostly clean. The beds were comfortable and there were glasses and tea/coffee. It is near to the bus stop to get into town and parking isn't an issue.
Staff weren't very friendly on arrival. Given two keys, no mention of what the second one was for. It wasn't until we had trouble with locking the door that they shouted up the stairs you had to push the button in on the inside first. At breakfast only one of the waitresses spoke English. We asked for a vegetarian breakfast and they brought out sausage and bacon on the plate. When told no meat, it came back with bacon on it. She then took it away after we explained again, only to not be given anything at all. It took asking 6 times before, in the end, giving in and ordering beans on toast.
Breakfast was quite good - coffee was nice. Beds were comfortable.
Toilet flush in our 'en suite' was utterly ineffective - fortunately there was a separate toilet nearby. Several lights in our room were not working.
Good breakfast (just English breakfast) and very clean and spacious room.
A little far from the city centre, but good connections with buses even if after 23.00 only taxis can bring you to the hotel.
The full english breakfast and the serving breakfast were very good, the bad was arranged every day, quiet area, bus station five minutes away
Stained but clean linen, Bathroom sink has two battery tubes, one hot and one cold tap, wi-fi is not free, you should pay one pound per day, the shower cap was not renewed after each use, in the room there is no refrigerator
