Manager organization, clean and auto sufficient house. Location and the welcome cereals, cookies and coffee.
The bed with wheels slide constantly when you seat in the bed.
The apartment showed signs of damp and smelt terrible. We might as well have had our bed in the middle of the road as the traffic was very noisy all night long. The actual entrance hallway of the building was horrendous our young Grandaughter cried everytime we went out. Would not recommend this place to antone.
Every time we returned to the apartment was filled with the smell of the drains in the kitchen.
Would defiantly stay again. Perfect location only let down was traffic noise outside.
Liked the central location, nice area, good quality beds. Always nice to have a kitchen.
A lot of noise from the street, poor window isolation. Cleanliness was so so (I found a dirty frying pan in the kitchen cupboard). Poor quality of the shower.
When we walked in the front door towards our room very of putting. Sofa very very uncomfortable. I was told it was a 10 minutes walk to the castle which wasn't true and they told I had two hip replacements so we had to pay for a taxi there and back with having been give the wrong information.
The apartment is clean and spacious. Tesco supermarket is just 3 mins walk. The host prepared a detailed manual and all travel information to us.
It needs to walk 15-20 mins to the centre.
Location was perfect for Edinburgh City centre Additionally local amenities were literally on the door step as were buses The hand book provided was extremely useful and assisted us to plan our visit Cleanliness of the apartment
Noise from outside (can't be helped)
Helpful host. Everything has been thought of, even EU/GB adaptors and a box with toys in the wardrobe that was much appreciated by my little daughter. Walking distance to the city centre. And very close to a large Sainsbury store too. The restaurant across the road not to be missed !
An apartment needs refurbishment or, at least, optimisation (there's a dedicated room for a fridge). A smaller bedroom is too dark. Floors sometimes are totally uneven and sloping with your risk of losing balance without being drunk. One morning a spider was spotted on the floor ! Ventilation in bathroom is poor so you need to open the window during or after taking the shower.
The apartment was exceptionally clean and tidy, with welcome coffee and cereals provided. The facilities, including the free wifi, kitchen and bathroom were excellent. Communication between the owner and ourselves was also great - the lady was very polite and gave ample information both in her emails and in the information folder within the apartment. The owners really have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable and stress free as possible! If I return to Edinburgh I will 100% use the apartments again :)
Altough it's an old building, the furniture is new and everything needed for a short stay it´s provided, including an umbrella! Next to a supermarket and ten minutes walk from the centre. Very clean.
Ground floor, a bit noisy. The sofa is not very confortable when used as a bed.
The apartment was very well furnished, clean and comfortable and when we had a little problem over hot water, the proprietor was attentive and helpful. Location was good - you could walk to Princes street leisurely in about 30 minutes.
The entrance is quite dingy. Load banging of entry door can be heard at all times; traffic sounds are also very audible.
Tesco and restaurant / pubs are very close.
The appartment is on the ground floor level very close to a really busy road with noisy traffic the whole night. On the photos it looks as if there was parquett floor, but it is only some plastic foil which looks like parquett. Underneath this foil there is a creaky and partially broken, rather uneven wooden floor.
Great city apartment, I went with a group of girls for a weekend and couldn't have asked for more. I loved having my own space which you don't get in a hotel.
A bit cold but that's a minor complaint.
The location suited us , very short walk into Edinburgh central. Lots of small local and lovely restaurants.
Don´t feel bad by the old appearance of the building. Inside, you will find a comfortable and completely renovated apartment equipped with everything you could need, and also extra details. Central heating worked perfectly, the windows were new, the beds are very comfortable too. The landlady is extremely kind. She also speaks Spanish. The situation is excellent, a quiet street and a pleasant walk of 15 min to Princes St. Supermarket Tesco is 200 metres from the house. There is a friendly pub just opposite with the best fish and chips we could find. So we spent a lovely time and recommend these apartments to everyone.
There were no electrical sockets in the bathroom, but that was not a problem, really. You find many sockets in the kitchen and rooms, and the landlady even arranged adapters for our Spanish plugs!
The facilities were really good, we made complaint about the kettle and asked for microwave, early following day, a lady came and replaced the kettle with a new one and brought a microwave.
The lady who met us was really nice but at the end of our stay she phoned me investigating how many people were in the flat, she said I saw 4 adults while she knew from the beginning we where 2 adults and two children. That was not really nice.
Loved this place, exactly as described and would stay again
Couldnt get hot water till after 10 am in morning, must be way its set up
Fantastic location, great walk into the city. Well decorated and modern with plenty of space and the little breakfast tray (tea, coffee, biccies, cereal) on arrival is a lovely touch!
Busy road out the front and the walls are like paper! You could hear the conversations of people walking along the path outside so it did disturb my sleep a bit unfortunately.
Clean, easy to find. Well maintained. Good value although as it was a 6 Nations game the price did increase from when I first looked to booking.
It is a nice apartment. Clean and cozy. Close to the city center. All you need is there. I liked everything.
clean and beautifully decorated pleasant but uphill walk into Princess Street hot shower and good heating system welcome pack
We were very dissapointed to arrive at the apartments to find the sofa with a broken leg . We rang the handy man to discover he was not available as he was in LONDON !!. We had to prop the sofa bed up with cushions . 2 DAYS later the sofa bed was mended .Personally i found the situation totally unacceptable as the sofa was being used as a bed as well and was therefore difficult to sleep and sit on . We had several other problems whilst staying there : The cooker top was unusual with no knobs and we did not find any instructions in the blue folder . There was no microwave and only one saucepan which made cooking for a family of 4 difficult. 2 pubs opposite so noisy when people leaving we found the road traffic noisy 2nd bedroom was a large cupboard with no external window Finally with the lights being on in the corridor 24/7 we had to block out the glass above the doors as it shone into the lounge and 2nd bedroom .
The apartment is a ten minute walk into Edinburgh and surrounded by places to eat bars etc. The place is spotless and has everything you need for a great stay. Comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen and a powerful shower. We loved it and will stay again.
A noisy air conditioning unit but I rang owner and she kindly explained it would switch off after 5 mins which it did. It comes on automatically after shower has been used.
Great shower, nice bathroom. Nice kitchen and living room, well-equipped ( except for no corkscrew!). Comfy bed and plenty bedding, flat was also nice and cosy.
Not fault of the apartment but outside was very noisy! First night we couldn't sleep - bin lorry emptying bottles at 1am, emergency vehicle sirens at 2am, people in the close shouting at 3am and thereafter general traffic noise. We're not used to that and probably heard it more because we were on the ground floor. The other nights were a bit better though.
