As it was our anniversary they upgraded us for free, plus gave us some personalised items. Full English and continental breakfast. Very helpful staff.
I have no negatives for this stay.
Had to queue for breakfast on Sunday morning
The staff at the Low Wood are so friendly and give a first class service. We had a great stay.
Kids could use leisure facilities etc no problems. Very safe environment. Great views. Definately returning.
Cosy atmosphere in spite of snowstorm outside.
A dog crying in a neighbouring room while owners were elsewhere in hotel.
This is the 1st time my wife and I have gone away with our dog Marley. The hotel staff were extremely friendly towards us and made us feel very welcome. The room was fabulous, food great and location superb. We will definatly be going back soon Séamus and Joanne
The food service and spa facilities were excellent. Dining room had the wow factor. The room had a fabulous lake view2, and had a great night sleep on the "waterbed". Would recommend to all friends and family.
Overly priced drinks from the bar.
Good Location and facilities Food and drink was good not particularly expence but not cheap either. Breakfast was good Staff were polite and responded well to my dislikes!
Unclean sheets (had to be moved) Heating was turned off for two hours in the day then put on for one hour then turned off again!!! Offered a heater but should I really have to do this. Felt a bit let down with the things I had to complain about as it was my birthday.
Hotel nice, staff very welcoming, rooms comfortable, great view
The food was cold.
We had to be evacuated from the building at half 2 in the morning due to a fire alarm being set off. I was a little disappointed we never got any thanks for our co operation but other than that it was a lovely stay
The room was lovely, bed really comfy and lake view beautiful
Breakfast service wasn't great. Waited a long time for toast and tea, over 30mins. Staff didn't look like they had the busy spell under control. The cold food was fine, but the hot counter food left a lot to be desired.
Staff were great, location and quality of room over looking the lake. Room was beautiful, spa treatment for partner was excellent and when we found the outdoor hot tub over lookin the lakeys it was the cherry on top. Loved it. Only thing bad was the breakfast staff seem stretched and the breakfast not great.
Great location and fab facilities, the pool is lovely my little boy had lots of fun. Would definitely stay here again.
The view from our room but also the breakfast, bedroom comfort, location, evening meal.
The man on reception who was staying there as his bonus was very helpful and made the stay brilliant.with just the thought of reserving us a table in the restaurant and a few birthday sprinkles for my wife.not expensive.but lots of thought...Thank you..oh all other staff excellent too.
Nothing.just an observation.not a complaint..the sauna area could do with a spruce up..
Extremely friendly staff. Lake view room was lovely. No noise in the hotel at night so had a peaceful sleep.
We were unable to eat in the restaurant on the first night due to a wedding being held there, but the meal in the bistro was fine.
everything from arriving to leaving.
Water pressure too low for the shower
Hotel was very well presented and the rooms were lovely. The food served was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend break. The Spa facility's were also a welcomed bonus.
Liked the breakfast, staff, ambiance, location.
Toilets cleanliness behind the Bar and the carpets placed outside it were stinking.
The room was well equipped including a safe fitted, no minibar but I can live without this item. The breakfast was just perfect even though very busy, the on-site fitness centre was a great asset, my son & I had two sessions in the pool.
No complaints about our stay. The road outside is very busy and maybe a road mirror would be helpful when exiting the car park.
Nothing to dislike - very comfortable hotel in nice surroundings. Very convenient for local sightseeing.
Our room was on the small side but even so it was clean and very comfortable, and we had a lovely view of the lake.
Just about everything - pleasant room, delightful view, good facilities, great food with plenty of choice, wonderful attentive and efficient staff
Only drawback (and it is unavoidable) is the busy road running between hotel and lake but even this didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of the stay.
bathroom was too small.
The Windermere Restaurant has excellent service and food at reasonable prices considering the standard. We had a wonderful evening in pleasant surroundings.
Avoid the adjoining bistro cafe at all costs! The price of the food is not that different from the main restaurant and the décor is bland. While we were still eating, the staff turned the lights on and off as a strong 'hint' to hurry up. The background music played intermittently and loudly when it did come on. Was this also a ploy to make us finish eating quicker? We were overcharged by £75 for the meal and they added an extra pound onto the second bottle of wine because they had brought it from the hotel bar (even though it was the same type of wine as the first and we were drinking it in the same place). Not an enjoyable experience.
Everything location, food, leisure facilities, bedroom and pet friendly walk at back of hotel oh and plenty of parking.
Bizzare set up for kettle and hairdryer we had to move the set of drawers to plug in and use them -have you considered running a short expension cable up the back so the kettle can be used on the tray ? Bad right turn out of hotel
