Relaxed, friendly B&B Good food Comfortable room and bed Quiet and peaceful location
A warm welcome in a stunning location - fields and horses, on a country road. It was a flying visit to see family and a wonderful place to stay - home from home. The breakfasts set us up for the day and the cold! The facilities are excellent - large rooms and even a fridge with fresh milk in it. We will be back.
Proximity to Exe Bicycle Trail
top quality all round, bedding, amenities, food and best of all the lemon cake!
Very friendly and helpful host Great breakfast Beautiful countryside location
Lovely large rooms, warmed up quickly with the central heating Helpful hostess - took away our wet clothes to dry Really comfortable bed Great shower Great value for money compared to the nearby hotels in Sidmouth
Would have liked a bath but the shower was excellent
I loved everything can't wait to go back next year
Mrs Tancock is a wonderful hostess. The room was very comfortable and breakfasts were excellent. Others have commented on her welcoming slices of delicious home-made cake. We totally agree. We slept well in this quiet location.
Nothing. Visitors to Devon for the first time need to know that many minor roads in the county are steep and narrow which can make for exciting travel.
Comfy bed, basic but very decent facilities. Fridge on landing with fresh milk. Fab farmhouse breakfast. Lovely country side and very much a working farm.
Décor very dated
Everything! Lovely countryside views, peaceful and convenient for Sidmouth but in the country. Excellent tasty cooked breakfast with proper mushrooms (not the tinned sort which have little flavour). We felt a genuine desire to help guests enjoy their holiday. Lovely walks from the farm with outstanding views. Would definitely stay again.
Nothing to dislike but a little care needed leaving farm to join country lane. There is a mirror to check for traffic.
The general area and interesting location for country and coast.
Narrow windy roads .
this is a good value comfortable B&B with a great breakfast and lovely bed. lots of room for clothes etc and the room was spotless. easy to reach the town. Yes the roads are narrow but drive carefully and it's fine. will definitely recommend.
everything was just perfect from start to finish. an excellent stay. we will be back
we didn't like having to come home leaving such an excellent B&B. WE WILL RETURN
Warm, friendly welcome with pot of tea and cake, and an excellent breakfast. Two Springer Spaniel puppies to drool over and a beautiful, quiet location, but near enough to Sidmouth to go for dinner.
Great welcome with excellent Lemon cake. Comfortable period accommodation close to Sidmouth. You won't find a better breakfast! Top Tips:- Switch the Sat Nav off and follow directions given by Liz. Best approached via Sidmouth. Try out Neils Fish Restaurant.
Nothing to dislike
Great country farm & surrounding countryside. Friendly, helpful owner.
Toilet maserator makes a lot of noise which can disturb sleep.
Liz was the perfect host very accommodating. Fabulous big bed. Delicious breakfast. We would certainly stay there again. Thank you liz.
Only problem for us was the shower was very unsatisfactory and didn't work very well at all. I talked to liz about it and she was aware of it and would be looling to be putting in a new system for next season. Thank you.
The room was big, clean and comfortable. It had all that we needed in terms of facilities. Breakfast was very good, plenty of good food to eat. Location nice and quiet, lovely rural views. Quite close to Sidmouth and to Budleigh Salterton.
Nothing I didn't like, although access along the narrow lanes a bit hairy at times. Wifi rather intermittent and weak, although afterwards I was told by another guest that the owner could put it on "boost". Should have been on that all the time in my view.
We loved this b&b. The breakfast was fresh and excellent with the options from full English to smoked salmon & scrambled eggs ! Liz was very friendly and the room was large and comfortable. The location was quiet and peaceful bearing in mind this is a working farm.
The narrow twisting lane from the main road took a bit of getting used to, but after a couple of journeys, we got the hang of it! No other downsides at all.
Everything was superb. Liz does make the most amazing Lemon drizzle cake for your arrival. No light pollution so you can see a wonderful sky at night. Big light and airy rooms with lovely bedding. Fantastic breakfast.
Nothing - Too short a stay.
Friendly reception, greeted with tea & cake. Lovely large room with very comfy bed. Tea/coffee making facilities. Wide choices for delicious breakfast.
Room was spacious & very clean. Had all we needed for a short stay. Breakfast was first class & set us up for the day ahead. Very quiet & homely.
It is on a very dark & narrow road so be prepared for that.
Everything, wonderful breakfast, lovely large bedroom, exceptional stay. We were welcomed on arrival by Liz with delicious home made cake and coffee !! We would say you do need a car though, unless of course you are ardent walkers.
Nothing, it was fabulous !
