It was centrally located at a very competitive rate; ideal for a short stay in London. The shower was excellent.
Wish I had stayed longer
Best location in London.
It´s the basics for a good stay, but fairly enough.
Location was great
+ Private room with bathroom + Kitchen with coffee and tea + Location is perfect, you are very close to Trafalgar square, London Eye and St. James park and less than a minute walk to the tube + Best value for money + wardrobe and closet + Great Wi-Fi without device limitations
- Room smell and I read that in the reviews before travelling so It wasn't a surprise for me - Room is small but okay for a solo traveler - Towels are supplied clean looking but with stains - Although there is a kitchen in each floor with fridges, refrigerators, coffee and tea facilities, the smell isn't good inside these storages and one day I kept the remaining food and I didn't find it the next day. - There is no air conditioning just heaters, and as I was in mid of September the weather was perfect with no need for air condition. - Window can just be opened partly only 20 cm so I kept it opened all time which brought me a big fly two times - You can hear adjacent rooms opening and closing doors and room walls are like gypsum board so sound proofing is poor - No Safe box (It's available but you can't use) - No toothbrush and tooth paste supplied so bring your own.
The place is right outside Trafalgar Squre! The room was comfortable, the bed was very comfortable. There was a kitchen you could use. Wi-Fi worked very good. Everything you need.
No TV in the room.
The location was unbeatable - just down from Trafalgar Square and centrally located for all the walking I did. It was quiet, even though it was full. I never heard anything from adjoining rooms.
The room was a bit too cool. The heat is turned on for the entire building later in the year. But the weather was mild, so it was not unbearable. Only two small elevators. I always walked down the stairs.
Location is perfect, staff is really helpful and kind. Big room and good bed.
Room was a bit smelly but we always left the window a bit opened and this was not a problem anymore. The bathroom was really small but not a big problem either.
Rooms no tv over priced for what it was
Great location and value for the city. For small trips and young couples on a budget.
Remember this is not your regular hotel, so do not expect breakfast and a minibar. One of out towels did not look clean.
Location, handy for tube, walking, convenience store nearby. Nice district. Friendly, helpful staff, quiet room with adequate facilities without the frills. Great price was a big plus. Having a kitchen where you could make tea and breakfast was a bonus. Good for singles.
Few students around in the kitchen where they "partied" (quietly) and left the mess but I found another clean kitchen on my floor.
The check in was quick and staff very helpful. They got us our room early. The location was excellent. I would come back here for sure.
The room smelt of sweaty socks.
Great location, good value. New kitchen, handy TV lounge. Friendly, helpful office staff. Would stay here again.
Was a bit noisy at night. but was to be expected at this location.
The location is perfect and for those wanting somewhere basic but clean to sleep after a long day in London this is it.
Staff, location, tidiness, quietness, etc.
No flip-flops provided in rooms
spaceous room with lots of storage kitchen Free wifi Helpful staff
Noise from other guests carries - thin doors and walls Cleaning only on obvious surfaces - I dropped a pillow behind the headboard and picked it up thick with dust Wifi slow
A bit noisy at night
The location is excellent, the bed comfortable, the room a reasonable size.
The "pod" en suite is tiny, but works well. It would not suit a large person!
Steps away from Trafalgar Square, tube stations and bus stops. Walking distance to covent garden & Big Ben. Location and price can't be beat!
Beds a bit uncomfortable for me. My adult children thought they were fine. Can be noisy if you're facing the Main Street. I asked for a quiet room and it was very quiet.
Can walk to nearly everything in London. Saved enough to literally pay for everything else we did in our 5 days in London.
Of course he bathroom is small, but very adequate in my mind. Carpet in room needs shampooing or better yet, replacement.
was a late booking so i guess the price is ok.
no breakfast like the rest of LSE. limited facilities.
Linen upon initial entering of room was not clean
Walking out straight into the Trafalgar square.. Big room, lot of furniture, bathroom is clean and well designed. Access to fully-furnished kitchen on the floor. Free luggage storage
No TV set in the room and no sound-proofing for the windows, but on 7th floor street noise wasn't too bad anyway
This is a London School of Economics dormitory that is open to visitors outside of the school year. It is in a great location: close to the Charing Cross and Embankment Tube stops, but in walking distance to Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Chinatown, West End and Soho. The price cannot be beat outside of using a hostel. I had my own room with a private (but small bathroom.) There was a kitchen to share in each wing. There was 24 hour lobby staff and a lift.
The front staff varied in terms of their knowledge and helpfulness. They were able to print my bus and airplane ticket for me and also set up a cab. They do not set up or have any information on tours in London, so you will have to do your own research and book them yourself. There is laundry in the basement, but you have to buy a "laundry card" at the vending machine down there. It is 5 GBP (1 GBP for card, 2.50 GBP for wash, 1.50 GBP for dryer) It can be noisy in the street, especially when the garbage men come and late at night.
