Set in attractive gardens, The Havelock offers a Mediterranean-style pool and en suite rooms, many with sea views. There is some free private parking, and the seafront is close by.

Walking In to a resturant to check in, original room had no shower and replacement one was working but broken.
Too loud and cold. Water leaked in toilet all night long ,shower was broken ,hangers in wardrobe was awful and just three(its basically wire) . No chairs in room ,hairdryer too far from a mirror.
The room was cold, no heating on. Also I couldn't close the window fully so I had to stuff a towel into the gap to stop cold air entering the room.
The staff were friendly and helpful Room was large and I liked the decor Good sized ensuite Very good breakfast Loved the price
Couldn't get on with the wi-fi Didn't like the dried flowers!
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are a good size and the breakfast was lovely.
There was some noise from downstairs early evening, but I think this was just from the dinner service. Nothing major to worry about.
Comfortable room. Helpful staff Good food. Warm rooms
Bed was a bit creaky
Loved Everything. Couldn't complain about anything.
The hotel was conveniently located and all facilities were good. The room was large and full of character. Breakfast was of a high quality although varied in quantity each of the two days we stayed there. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was warm and comfortable.
The whole hotel (internally and externally) is in need of a good spruce up. Externally, the paintwork lets it down badly and outstanding maintenance included only 1 out of 3 spotlights working and in our room, 2 windows that did not open, 1 broken blind, 2 out of 3 bathroom lights working and the tap/shower knob broken - the bathroom also needed repainting.
Breakfast , room and staff, complimentary water and shampoo, good towels
We were concerned about proximity to road - but apart from a few cars noises in morning there was no problem.
Stairs within room Early bar closing
no hairdryer pillows lumpy cold could not shut the window overhead lights faulty no loo roll holder well it was on the floor
this place is excellent, the staff were pleasant and helpful , we had breakfast here and it was lovely, we had a room at the back, it was bright and clean, comfy bed old style padded chairs were nice. and the garden was a nice treat, I have been to other places that claim a nice secret garden, this place don't claim it, but they should, at breakfast the sunlight on the leaves over the window was a treat. thanks
there was nothing not to like
On arrival the staff were particularly friendly and offered us a drink after our journey from Birmingham. Parking was literally across the road and reasonably priced (tourist 4 day pass was around £22). We were shown to our room which was tidy, clean and exactly what we needed for a weekend at bestival. It has a very homely feel to it. We were given keys to let ourselves back in as we were due back late. The local has more than enough to offer and is all withing walking distance. Breakfast was served within a good tome slot and was always tasty. There was plenty of choice too. We had a fantastic weekend :)
The only down point in staying in a large convertes house is that the noise carries through easily, and we'd looked forward to a lie in as we dont get any at home! This, however is not enough to put us off returning and we'd use Lugleys again :)
location was very good could not have been better as it was my mother who is 79 very able, and myself 59, who is not so able ,we were really pleased with the room very comfotable and clean ,nice friendly place the breakfast was lovely nothing was any trouble, it is so near to everything in newport but also quietly out of the way , we would definetly stay there again , we wish we had eaten in the resturant as the menu always looked so inviting but we were out and about alot it was a perfect stay.
Staff were great food exelent would stay again just wish we had the room on the mainpage of ad for hotel wwhich we thought we had!
Great location, wonderful experience
The room was very spacious and the bed was huge.
There was no soap, shampoos or shower gel in the bathroom, which is the first I've ever come across.
Very friendly staff. Comfortable room. Good breakfast menu.
We didn't like the lunch menu which we sampled when we first arrived. Expensive for the amount of food served up unless you ordered more side dishes. The small portion of pork tenderloin was far too rare.
The breakfast was really nice, rooms were clean. Restaurant and the menu looked really good had we stayed another night we would have tried it
The room was a bit tired, but had everything we needed for an over night stay
Staff were excellent very helpful and understanding as we arrived later than we hade said.. Good location
Only one bath towel in our room. But found a pile on the landing. Only one cup on the tray
Lovely garden views. Bright airy room. Old-fashioned, but charming decor in the room. Large and well functioning bathroom. Lots of space to put things. Friendly service from staff. A real find for the prtice. Excellent restaurant.
Lots of staits to climb.
Staff...brilliant....good sense of humour and did their jobs very well. Kieran, Shannon and Pauline where always cheerful, helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Food...brilliant...young Oliver is an exceptional talent in the kitchen. The evening meal we had was a real high point. Nothing was too much trouble...we mentioned the heat in our room and when we returned a fan had been placed in there .
Air conditioning would be a great bonus!!! Garden was okay but could do with a little tlc. Stair carpet!!!!
A little gem in a great location. Clean, comfortable and welcoming. Wish we could have stayed longer.
The staff were very pleasant and the garden is lovely. Room was a very good size and clean, the lounge is comfortable. The dining room has plenty of space between the tables which is nice. Chefs scotch egg with black pudding was divine.
Not being able to have drinks after about 9p.m. due to staff leaving premises. Very limited breakfast menu, one morning there wasn't even any bread for toast. Blinds in our room were broken which was pointed out to us on arrival but although it was a very small job it was never fixed. the toilet seat was broken in the bathroom and the toilet roll was unreachable, also the curtain didn't cover the window and might just as well have not been at the window at all as anyone walking past could clearly see into the bathroom. All things that could be fixed in moments to make it a much more comfortable stay.
