The owners were very caring about what to do in Falmouth and the breakfast was great. The room was really good.

We found the room clean but the bed was very small, ok if you are less than 5ft 6 but if any taller no room to stretch out and the mattress was not very comfortable. The workmanship of the room and bathroom was not good but that is usually the case in a lot of cornwall b & b, this is described as a hotel was was more like a poor b & B. Paper thin walls meant the next door occupants snoring kept us awake. Breakfast was an issue, we are pescatarian (only eat fish and vegetarian food) we were offered a choice of vegetarian sausages which was nice and we wrote this request down but we were not given that request the following morning and the breakfast was very tasteless with cheap runny beans. The following morning we choose the salmon and scrambled egg. I asked the waitress to ensure that the eggs were very soft. I said not just soft very soft please. When it arrived the the scrambled eggs were quite overdone, not even soft, we were dissapointed and sent the food back very politely. Also the muffin it came on was undertoasted and soggy. We requested fried egg on toast instead, this took about 10 minutes and the cook came out and looked at us. The waitress told us the cook would have a word with us. When we received a fried egg on toast again the toast was soggy and had some sort of cheap marg on it. We felt the cook did this diliberately. When we checked out the cook, who I think is also the owner, as he took our money, challenged us in a very passive aggressive way about our views on the scrambled egg , he insisted he had cooked over 10 thousand eggs, he could simply have said I am sorry that you did not enjoy your breakfast, instead he was rude and made me feel very bad, he obviously needs training in appropriate communication and concilliation skills, the customer is obviously not right at the lugo rock. We will never stay there again.

Great location comfy bed and breakfast was good

Breakfast to ridged 8am till 9am only and we were 2mins late and told good job the stove hasnt been turned off . Waitress had attitude asked if we wanted more toast which we said no thank you and she replied good !!!

Friendly helpful hosts and very close to beach and town facilities.

Philip and Jane made us feel very welcomed on arrival. The room was nice and fresh, and fabulous breakfasts. Parking was available on site. A very nice stay.

Jane and Philip are lovely hosts, very helpful and informative about the local area. Lugo Rock is situated in a great location for exploring Falmouth. Lovely clean room, and a great breakfast and super service. Would stay here again.

It was perfect for me and my two adult daughters for a girlie break away. I looked for a guest house that had a family room, which didn't assme you meant young children. It was called the 'Swanpool' a lovely grown up room, a double and a single bed, both very comfortable, with space to move about and plenty of storage. It was beautifully finished with lovely detail to the decor. Breakfast was delicous, with plenty of choice and lots of healthy options too. The hosts Philip and Jane were very freindly and helpful.

Proprietors were very friendly on arrival .The accomodation was very clean.

The main impression was the warm and friendly atmosphere, felt very welcome and the owners had time to chat! It was the perfect place for my short visit
