This may not look much from the road but stop and give this a try. The rooms are old fashioned but that means they're spacious and we had great views. The bed was very comfy and there was plenty storage with a modern vanity unit and plenty of sockets. Fantastic modern spacious bathroom with powerful hot shower. Loved it. The bar was cosy with books and games with a lovely fire which is apparently lit on colder nights. We had a lovely meal there and in the morning decided we'd be back on one of those colder nights to sit in front of the lovely fire. James and Nelly were very nice too

    There was nothing to dislike

James was there to welcome us as we arrived and we settled quickly into our spotlessly clean room. That evening we enjoyed a meal from a varied menu, cooked by Nelly and served attentively by our host. Our surroundings had much to offer in terms of scenery and walking.Breakfast made a good start to the day too.

Good value, excellent food. Convenient for Killin and routes North.

Difficult to get a booking. It seems full all the time, which isn't a surprise

James and Nellie were excellent hosts and looked after every need! Glen Dochart is stunningly beautiful, gentle and the town of Killin is very nice too. Location on a main road gave us concerns on arrival but we had no road noise at any time. Just a lovely view of the mountains behind. Food is cooked from scratch by Nellie from the menu. Big Scottish breakfasts too!

If I could find any fault which is difficult I would have liked some fruit and maybe yogurt at breakfast. Would not be a problem for one night but for four we could have used some fruit!

Service was superb - hosts could not do enough for you. Food was also excellent.

A bedroom too close to a noisy main road and an ill fitting ensuite door.

This would be a great location for a tour of the area but its on the main road with no outside garden that wasn't covered in dilapidated mobile homes. The interior of what could be a beautiful old building is not well looked after and full of clutter. Plus there is no where to be aside from in your room or in the bar. As my scottish husband said it's 'foosty'

If you want a modern plastic hotel don't book in here. However, if you want a place with bags of character and charm, a homely feel, and exceptional hosts then this is the place for you. Food very good quality and plentiful. Bedrooms very clean.
