Very nice place, friendly and helpful staff and very modern facilities. I'd love to visit again.
No elivators or lifts so carrying luggage to 1st and 2nd floors were difficult.
Sea view from room Seaside theme to decor in room BREAKFAST - yum! Drinks by the log burner in the arm chairs Proximity to Lulworth Cove
The whole experience was inviting, so much so we even had a pint of real ale before dumping out bags in our room. The rooms were exceptionally thought out and the staff outstanding.
Everything was excellent
The room was lovely but with no carpet and large windows it needed to be heated in mid February ?! This coupled with a spotlight placed at the top of the windows overlooking the frontage was on and off all night. Little sleep was achieved ! Then at 4am a drunk loud and aggressive man was outside our window making a lot of noise. I explained the issues to the manager who seemed to just brush it off saying the lights are timed to go off at 11pm. He knew the radiator was not working and the loud drunk had to be staying somewhere else even tho we could here him inside and someone was snoring loudly at 9.30am !!
As left. With the token gesture of £20 of a £187 bill. If I had been manager I would have at least offered a 50% discount considering what happened and having to drink caffeine all the way back to prevent falling asleep behind the wheel ! :(
Food, room, service and location
Everything, the room had a sea view, staff were friendly and helpful, reasonable prices for dinner, less than 5 mins walk down the cove which is amazing
The room, the service, the staff, the breakfast. Highly recommend.
The staff were friendly and the marine decoration whilst somewhat kitsch in places was not overdone. Breakfasts were amazingly good and sitting in the sun with a nice view, eating breakfast was a great experience.
The hotel is a short walk to the beach. Facilities are good and Dorset costal path on your doorstep, wonderful.
Our room was very comfortable The service from staff was excellent
Décor of room and its view, good food and drink, helpful and charming staff.
The room was beautiful, tastefully decor and facilities. Dinner was delicious (homity pie, mashed swede, Savoy cabbage). All but one staff member were friendly and accommodating.
One member of staff (tallest male), was offish and brusque. Veggie breakfast is not really a breakfast - muffin, hummus, guacamole, egg, sweet chille sauce. Trying a bit too hard, maybe? Obviously making a lot of profit - everything is Bose, Smeg and DeLonghi. Nice stuff, but a bit pretentious.
Bed and staff food good, hotel in a great position over the bay.
Was disappointed at size of superior room.As it was valentine weekend could have had a rose on table
Excellent staff. Location. Free car parking. Wifi great. The good at the pub downstairs was great both for breakfast and dinner.
the amazing location
lack of storage in the room. resturant service very poor
The ambiance and style. Have visited frequently always wanted to stay.
Pillows on the bed. Noise from neighbouring rooms. Where you checked in too much going on there should have a separate location for this.
The view and great location, perfect fr a trip to the cove, lovely room and staff, great food, many thanks:)
location, friendliness ,food comfort
Comfy bed, good wifi, friendly staff.
Nothing at all.
Having specifically wanted to stay in Lulworth Cove because of the walk we had planned we were generally happy with our stay. Friendly staff, comfortable bed and wonderful views.
Booking.com seems to indicate that superior sea view rooms all come with a rolltop bath. We had room 6. The smallest of the rooms on our floor and no special bath. I had been really looking forward to it, so was quite disappointed. In addition room 6 is above a fridge unit which goes on and off all night. Sorry to say that we were more tired when we left. We didn't complain as the hotel was full and there seemed little point. The only other downside is that with a very small room and a very busy pub, there was no where quiet (apart from the bed) to sit and relax.
Loved the beach-house style décor throughout, the big super-king bed and the fantastic sea view. Brilliant breakfast too. We got it at a bargain rate for a last minute birthday trip away, and were more than pleased.
Nothing bad, but my side of the bed was just a wee bit too soft for my liking, and only feather pillows. And the quirky vintage suitcases by the bed looked great, but the top wasn't flat, so impractical for a heavy lamp and cups of tea! A glass or Perspex top could solve it.
Customer service was excellent & the food was lovely. Location was amazing & there are some very scenic walks.
Noise from refrigerated unit in kitchen kept coming on & off during the early hours so we had a disturbed sleep (we were in room 6) Breakfast took a long time to be served (staff did apologise) There was nothing else open around the cove apart from the hotel so the restaurant was very busy during both lunch & dinner (we went in January, so out of season)
The location is awesome and the room was very clean and well presented. All staff very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely stay again.
The only thing I would have liked would have been a bath instead of shower but it was made clear that rooms had either or; in this instance mine had a shower.
