The one-member of staff we met was very friendly and helpful. Very quiet so no disturbed sleep. Has so obviously hit upon hard times: the heating was on only in occupied rooms (so quite cold moving around) and old buildings that are unheated (or only partially) smell a little dank and musty; similarly, lights were sparse; bar closed so no nightcap (this was at 10.30pm); staff were scarce to almost non-existent; rooms were a bit tired with very cheap furnishing; cleaning was not all it could be but acceptable; very small towels (old style bath towel - no bath sheets). Room 7 has a dreadfully difficult lock which needs much fiddling with to ensure room is left locked.

It was homely and spacious. The food was good and staff were friendly. Loads of teddies in our room as well as pictures of them on thaw wall, although this isn't to everyone's taste it was a refreshing change from the normal ikea type rooms that have become the norm. The bed was huge and comfortable and we would definitely visit again.

The staff were terrific. Very friendly and couldn't do enough to help if we needed anything. The evening meal was great with a good choice of starters and mains. Breakfast was even better, choosing what we wanted from a list for cooked breakfast, and continental breakfast available too. Excellent. Only a minor thing. The beds had blankets rather than a duvet, which took a bit of getting used to. I would probably go back and stay in the hotel, but would prefer a change to duvets for comfort.

The staff at Lundin Links Hotel were very nice and extremely concerned that I had everything I needed. The rooms were clean, and the little village of Lundin Links was delightful.. There are beautiful walks within two blocks of the hotel next tof the North Sea that are balm to the travel weary.

Nice comfortable hotel as a base for travelling to golf coarses and for visiting St Andrews or beach areas close by - even by public transport. The hotel does not have a lift so it was a bit difficult and tiring walking up three flights of stairs, particularly with luggage. The hotel always felt that it was under staffed, but this may have been because it was off-peak.

The staff was real nice and the room was large and very clean. It was a quick stay so not much else to say. I'd stay there again and I would recommend it to others. They could use a new door lock on room 7. It was adequate but it made the whole room seem cheaper.

The staff were very friendly and the food was well presented and good value for money. The hotel was tidy and very clean but could do with having a lift installed as there was 7 flights of stairs to climb to get to the top floor. The location was central for visits to St. Andrews and other sea side villages. We would go back to this hotel again and we would recommend it to friends.

Calm peaceful location. Nice breakfast and helpful staff. Decoration of rooms was a bit dated. Need to check requests carefully as the travel cot was not put in the room for arrival - but put it in within 10 minutes.
