Quiet location yet walking distance to bus routes and 'curry mile'. In spite of Eid celebrations we didn't hear a thing! Restaurant very good service and excellent food. Staff friendly and unobtrusive. As on our last visit, the plumbing has not improved! Still noisy and no hot water in the shower so had to wash hair in the bath. Bathroom delapidated, draughty but otherwise clean. |

Tremendous value, no frills hotel with very friendly staff. Decor in the rooms was tired and the shower was a bit manky, but understandable at this price. |

Is (relatively) cheap and cheerful, provides a very safe place in an area that is quite infamous, also a bit unseemly (it is a city after all) . The public rooms have been imaginatively changed from, I assume, a training college. It has a Baptist core, still, but no impact on guests who dont want this- there was a (whats the collective word?a moan?) moan of trainee vicars, and a library. Very close to curry mile and the very exciting late night Asian shoping/eating/boy racer/parading culture. Close to University for interviews/anxious parents. There are local parks which have surprising history and wildlife (medieval ditch, and parakeets, in Platt Fields) Bus every 5 mins to Manchester, which has lots to do- shop, eat, history, architecture It is a transformed training college, and though the bedrooms are smarter and cleaner than my University experience, they are a little shabby. I could feel bed springs, and it was a little cold. There are different types of accommodation, and others experience on the web site varies. The house may feel less safe (in semi- secure grounds) but the part I was in is in a secure quadrangle, and felt very safe |

Excellent value for money. Clean and comfortable, and whilst it's a couple of miles from the city centre, there are loads of buses. |

It's super quiet, super clean, and no one bothers you. It's is low key and laid back. There is free wireless internet in the lounge. I also appreciated the included continental breakfast. The single room I stayed in is the perfect size for a solo traveler, with toilet and shower en suite. It was nice to have a small flat screen TV there as well. Biscuits and tea (free) in the room were a nice touch. It's such great value for the money that I really wouldn't complain about anything. A small thing would be to offer wifi in the guest rooms rather than just in the lounge, even if we had to pay extra for that. |

No hot water from shower in morning. Had to request room change as intial allocation was damp with paint peeling off walls and dirty shower facilitites. Towel in room was ripped with massive threads coming from all sides of towel - needs disposing off in my opinion. Second room was cleaner |

Budget price not reflected in a 'cheap' experience - great value for money as long as you book in advance You need to know to book via an accommodation website rather than direct, in order to get the best deal |

Great location just a short walk from "curry mile" and bus stops are close by. Reception staff was very nice and helpful, especially Paul. Garden with fountain was a nice touch. There are laundry and ironing facilities which made our stay much easier. |
