Staff were welcoming. Breakfast was superb.
The welcome we received was warm & friendly. The room was bigger than the usual standard room with a large en-suite bathroom. Everywhere within the hotel was spotless and the food was excellent. There was a choice of 4 real ales on the bar all of which were very good. I could go on & on bestowing the virtues of this gem, but instead I'll just say try it you won't be disappointed.
The only thing I didn't like was leaving, but hey you have too leave to be able to go back, and yes we most definitely will go back.
Great location,tastefully refurbished.spotlessy clean,lovely breakfast.Would definitely stay there again.
Food is interesting, varied and massive helpings! Bar has excellent real ales, well kept. Hosts are kind and very willing to help with dietary pecularities. Room comfortable with bath and lots of hot water. Restaurant is in conservatory with superb view. There is a delightful riverside walk across road and good garage shop walking distance.
Nothing. Amazed it wasn't booked solid.
The owners, food, breakfast and location were all excellent.Even on a very busy Bank Holiday Elena couldn't do enough to help!
wifi was a bit feeble (but you expect that over in this part of the world really) but what really annoyed was the disturbed night from a bunch of loud oafs in the bar at 1.40 a.m.Avoid rooms in that part of the hotel if you are a light sleeper.

Nice peaceful location
I visited to attend a wedding and was told on arrival that there was a curfew of 12 midnight which I had not expected! Needless to say I wouldn't use this hotel if I was planning on a night out again!
Excellent service and support. Family run. Excellent evening meal and breakfast with good quality products. Value for money. Easy reach of the station at Drigg (1 mile).

Pub noise can be heard in rooms, but didn't go on too late.

Friendliness of the staff. Food was excellent and the choice of dishes out standing.
