Lydiard House Conference Centre  

Made to feel welcome, very helpful staff (all) I would recommend to friends and colleagues.

The Staff were all very welcoming and I felt at home for my entire stay. Good facilities, clean neat rooms and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Also complementary tea and coffee is the way forward, a nice touch which I know is included in the price of the event but allows for more flexibility when running an event.

I think the hotel side of things is getting a bit tired, and a small amount of money spent on things could make the world of difference. For instance new shower heads in the swimming changing rooms, as they seem to get everything wet apart from the person under it, perhaps a better shower itself and a new light in the sauna. Replacement of tiles in the bathroom of room 25. a general tidy up of other fixtures and fittings. This does sound petty but would improve the image of the facilities dramatically and would be a relatively small cost. That being said I would stay again.

Great staff always around to help and very friendly. Quality of the food but the range seems limited of late.

Maintenance of the bedrooms - very clean but for example bathrooms need fixing, improved heating and hot water in the shower, small wardrobes, beds small if used as a double

My stay coincided with a major function that caused the normal menu to be suspended. The alternative offered was a barbecue to be eaten on a rather sterile room rather than the bar which was full of corporate visitors.

The capability, on behalf of the staff, to personalise the service and their reliability.

Swimming pool opens too late in the morning to be able to have a swim before going to work.

Lovely quiet location in countryside, excellent value for money and good quality food

Nothing really - its not like a traditional hotel as its a conference centre but for what I wanted it for it was brilliant good value. Gym and swimming pool are ok not a lot of gym equipment and the room was very hot but Ok for one night stay.

Staff were very friendly and willing to help. Stayed at Lydiard House as was attending a conference there the following day. Good breakfast and good lunch and snacks throughout the day. Top quality.

The entire experience was very pleasant, ample parking, reasonably priced, well cooked food, clean and comfortable room, easy access from motorway

Nice and quiet location

The actual premises of the hotel do not exactly match what's advertised on the web site, so do expect you gonna end up having a room in an early 70's extension with a slight hint of dump.
