This Georgian house from the mid 1700s has bedrooms with refitted bathrooms, and is a short walk from Swaffham and a choice of restaurants. Lydney House has well-equipped en suite bedrooms with free mineral water and sweets. A patio looks over the garden with its trees, wild birds and occasional owl. Indoors there is a cosy bar with traditional table-top games and a bright and airy breakfast room. Thefriendliness of the owners and the location. Very clean very pleasant stay. It would have been helpful if snack or evening meals wsere available but it didnt cause us a problem.

The gentlemen working there was very friendly and helpful The lady was very rude on booking and then disinterested on arrival. We won't be staying there again due to her behaviour.

It's location just around 200 meters from the centre of Swaffham, within easy driving distance of Norwich,Kings Lynn,Sandringham and many places of interest on the North Norfolk coast or inland. The owners are welcoming and friendly and they possess a wealth of local knowledge. The bar area has a selection of table top entertainments for all ages. The dining room is bright and airy and the breakfasts are filling with a reasonable selection of foods.

Lots of things but the bed was the most comfortable that I have slept in, in years... I forgot to ask where they got it!! Lovely place, quiet and peaceful, Sarah and David were lovely hosts.
