We regularly stay at the Lygon Arms, as the hotel is beautiful in a wonderful location. I was especially pleased that our booking request to have a traditional room over looking the main street was sanctioned. We had a wonderful stay and we will definately be back. |

We loved the open fires and location. The price of dinner was very expensive and the price of wines was ridiculous, so we ate elsewhere. |

Comfortable old world charm. Yes we were told that there was no room for us to dine even though we were resident. But a very helpful receptionist did sort this one out for us. |

Very dissapointed with the main course of the dinner. The starter and the desert courses were as we had expected from the restaurent of that standerd. My partener and I ordered the pork dish, which turned out to be two small slices of roast pork sitting on a great chunck of, what looked like, sausage meat with a few slithers of potatoes and apples. The worst was yet to come when we ordered the breakfast the following morning. The brown toast, we ordered, arrived not having made up its mind whether to become toasted or remain just bread!! And it was cold.Coffee had to be sent back as it was cold. I had specificly asked for a pork sausage, but was given a Cumberland one. The scrumbled eggs were cold. We were expecting better. |

At all times everything was available that one would expect from an hotel of this stature and history. The tea making facilities were too complicated! |

A classic Country House Inn in the upper segment. Good food in The Great Hall. Keep focus on maintenance, and respect of the life and history of the Inn. |

The building was beautiful and the hotel was well located in the North Cotswolds. We had to walk through the great hall (restaurant) to get to our room which felt a little awkward while others were dining. This only applied to a small number of rooms. |

The spa facilities were excellent. We were stuck way out back in a modern annexe and the room, while adequate, was not even close to being worth the £170 (breakfast not included) we were charged. And the radiator didn't work. Bar drinks hugely overpriced. £7 for a small glass of wine! |

Pool was good. Bed was good. Staff were not that helpful. Room had a number of faults, plugs, lights and TV did not work properly. Given another room, same faults with that room and staff were not attentive. For the price this was very poor. Also other facilities not working, i.e. steam room. |

I liked the decor & the architect of the hotel. we were looking forward to relaxing in the pool & jucuzzi and the steam room as only there for one night. Pool was to cold & the other facilities were either not working or out of use. The paint was falling of the ceiling in the bathroom & around the electric sockets in bedroom. The food & drink were way over price an example of this was a glass of rioja wine was £11.75 per standard size. When i ask for a menu of the main restaurant i was handed a printed A4 piece of paper with a set menu but had no price on the menu. As i check out & i was asked about my stay. The member of staff told me he would pass my comments on to the manager. I left wondering what my money had paid for. |
