we were most impressed with the staff and facilities including the pool and our room but if we come again would prefer a room of the ground floor with a shower

we only stayed bed and breakfast as we wished to tour around about but deceded that the cost of a dinner for two without wine was too expensive as we prefer lunch

There was not a single thing I didn't like! It was a lovely stay and the staff were very accommodating! Thank you, for a lovely stay!

Hotel is beautiful and steeped in history, Les ( night porter) gave us a wonderful history lesson. The staff were friendly & helpful.

Housekeeping not good enough for a hotel of this standard. items usually provided had to be requested, not left in bathroom or replaced.

Rooms facilities and ambiance all superb ideal for that special event.

Whilst the food I had was excellent I would have liked to have seen wider choice on the restaurant menu.

Position in a beautiful village is excellent. No trouble with the parking facilities. Good-sized room and excellent bathroom. Noise was limited. Facilities in room offered iron and ironing board. Good tea and coffee facilities.

Evening meals only provided for 3 courses - we had to eat elsewhere, as we cannot manage three courses. Needed a better, well-lit, area for make-up - all areas very badly lit in our room. Very limited television channels available - could not even get the BBC 24 hour news.

The ambiance, friendliness, and high level of service. It is also very quiet, which means you get a good night's sleep.

Our room (92) was dark, which made it difficult for my wife to do her makeup.

Loved the location hotel was old, quirky and just lovely staff friendlly spa/pool lovely breakfast and service wonderful conference room for the event I attended was great and the lunch provided was fantastic

The bistro food was way overpriced. I had veg wraps and chips. Tiny portion and £15!! Ludicrous. Service was good though

Historical place.

1. Untrained check in. The clerk did not know how to operate the credit card machine. I had to show her. 2. Muddy, unpaved parking. 3.Tap water unsafe for drinking in room 308. 4. Phone did not work in 308--no dial tone. 5. Paint peeling in bath in room 55. 6. Waiter at breakfast did not bring what I ordered. 7. Dinner at 41pounds did not even include coffee (we ate elsewhere)

All the staff we came into contact with were efficient,courteous and friendly.A credit to any hotel.The building is full of character.

We ate in the dining room on one evening. My husband chose the roast pork belly which was very chewy with rubbery crackling on top and not what was expected from such an establishment as this.

A very comfortable room, helpful staff and the breakfast was wonderful.

Best accommodation at a reasonable cost via this website. Staff friendly and professional, cuisine very good and this at a time when when a wedding party was resident, hence very busy!

The hotel is beautiful. We loved our room - it was a good size, had historic features, a comfortable bed, bottled water, was warm, quiet and had views of Broadway high street. We were on the top floor in the main building (R. 17). We liked the historic features and ambience of the lounge areas and dining hall. We really liked the spa - it had a good size swimming pool, steam room and jacuzzi and is beautifully designed. All your staff are very helpful, polite and attentive - we really felt like we were being looked after. We stayed in 7 hotels during our Easter tour of Scotland and England and this was our favourite.

We would have preferred the saunas to be in the spa rather than the changing rooms so that we could sit in them together. The jacuzzi was too hot the day we arrived, but this was fixed by the morning. It would be more hygienic if guests were asked to take their shoes off before entering the changing rooms and that would help keep the floors clean.

The plumbing in our room 308 was noisy. Every time you flushed the toilet or switched the water on, there was a loud clunking noise. I think this happened in only our room and I reported it to housekeeping.
