Expensive breakfast

The rooms were clean and the staff friendly.

The rooms needed repair and there were exposed wires in the bathroom and bedroom. Not ideal when young children are present. The meals were average but the portions were too small.

Location was excellent

Hotel looks tired and the first room I was allocated hadn't been cleaned at all , the second room wasn't as clean as I would have liked.

The setting. Efficient and friendly.

The hotel was better than our expectations. We booked this as a value break as we wanted to visit the area. For the money it was excellent. I'm sure that this hotel used to be priced higher before the recession. We did not eat in the hotel as we had a booking elsewhere but the room was comfortable and airy. I particularly liked the fact that the room was not too hot as hotel rooms tend to be.

Excellent service for our daughters wedding on 12th April 2013.Manager very helpful and all staff well groomed and attentive, nothing too much trouble. Food excellent tasty and hot.Thankyou for making the day special.

A taped up cracked toilet seat in our bathroom.

Welcoming staff, good service in the restaurant and good food.

My room was very small, even though I was travelling alone, I found the room quite claustrophobic.There was no bath in my ensuite.

Thought the food was excellent, best room service menu I have seen in a while, I stay at hotels all oven the country and that was the best I've had.....

Too hot in the bedroom, while the room was very clean, the sheet had holes in, linen quality very poor....

Limited choice of bitters at the bar, also limited choice for evening meals.Breakfast very expensive gave it a miss

hotel very tired and dull, needs to be brightened up!!

Comfortable room which mostly worked well. We were attending a functuion at Lymm Golf Club, and the hotel could hardly be more conveniently situated, allowing us to walk there and back.

I was slightly annoyed to find I had paid a surcharge for paying by credit card. I expect this was somewhere in some small print, but I hadn't picked it up.

A great location with clean rooms and pleasant service. We did not dine at the hotel so unable to comment on the cuisine.
