Showers not working.

Excellent dining room and breakfast. One of the 3 rooms that we booked was modern and a good size. The receptionist on our departure morning went out of his way to be helpful without our asking.

One of the rooms that we booked had decor that was a little tired. The room was small and dark but adequate.As we had not pre booked a dinner,the dining room was already taken by a large party and we had to go elsewhere to eat. This disappointed us as the menu and dining room looked excellent.

Location, staff, food, price, rooms, comfort, peace and quiet. I have stayed here many times now, highly recommended.

I liked everything about this hotel. It was in a quiet location away from the road. It had character and looked interesting. It had super- friendly staff who were happy to talk to you to ensure you had everything you needed. The beds were great - lovely crisp cotton bedlinen. The rooms were ample and spotlessly clean and very warm (it was cold weather while I was there). The restaurant was brilliant - food was so lovely we ate there every night we were there! It is easy to get to the hotel from the m5 which means it is easy to get out and about using the hotel as a base to go exploring north into the Cotswolds, over to Wales, across into Somerset or down towards Dorset. It is very close to Bristol Airport (although you don't hear any planes!) and close enough to Bristol city centre and Bath for those who want to visit those places. Ample free parking. All told, this place is a real find and if you like being well looked after and the feeling that nothing is too much trouble for the staff, you'll like this place. I'll be back.

The bathroom showers are ok rather than great.

Friendly welcome. Lovely position on hill side. Special atmosphere with snow on ground and ski slope close beside. Warm and comfortable chalet lodge room. Good breakfast

We chose it for its location near to Bristol airport & enjoyed a lovely, cozy garden room with great views.

Nothing really - if breakfast could have been included in with the room cost it would have been even greater value!

* The shower ~ newer, modern shower with a better water pressure would finish off the room perfectly, and the overall decor. of the bathroom could be more modernised / updated.

Location

The first night my room was freezing cold because the heating hadn't been attended to. I had no hot water to the shower throughout my three-night stay despite reporting it twice. I reported it again on my departure to be told that the shower is tempremental and has to be used in a certain way. Nowhere near good enough.

I stayed here with my partner for one night. It was a spur of the moment thing and the pictures and reviews on Booking,com looked lovely. This place is a little gem I never knew existed. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere cosy and warm. Breakfast was really lovely to, freshly cooked and tasty. This was a romantic place to go with beautiful views. I would recommend it to anyone and would definitely go back.
