The staff were very friendly and helpful, my friend had a flat tire and the young man on reception helped us until someone needed him. The bar is open whenever you want it open. A bonus if you want a drink when you've been out. The hotel is cheap, if all you need is a place to lay your head, then it is fab.
Could have been cleaner, the general cleanliness was just ok, window behind the bunk was covered in black mould which was not nice. Also only had HOT water, a novelty, but not good for trying to have a shower, you get scalded.
The price. As a single traveller I find that I am paying supplementary tariffs so I usually limit my time to 1 or 2 nights.
I was worried about the comments made on the reviews already and it put me off especially as I was staying five nights. Anyway, I needn't have worried. The hotel is clean but basic and is advertised as such.
Good Location near to Bournemouth sea front and BIC centre
No guests/paid for parking but none available! Worst was damp in room which soak shoes!
cheap rate breakfast included (breakfast was OK - toast, jam, cheese, ham eggs, cereals -the basics).
The hotel is very run down, needs refurbishment. Our room was OK for one night, but the windows didn't close properly so water came in, and there was mould on the ceiling. Location is close to the city center but seems not very safe. Wouldn't stay here again.
The hotel was located close to the centre and the seaside as well, but in a quiet street, so we could rest calmly. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was enough for us. The room price was very reasonable and when i decided with my partner that we wanted to stay one more night we could stay in the same room with the same price.
the heating was on but the hotel room was really cold all the time and the heating made noises overnight, this made sleeping harder in night time. The staff changed the towels daily but they never cleaned the room during our stay there, so in two days the floor was really dusty and dirty.
Theroom price and location really were a winning combination.
No lift so was dragging bag to third floor. I thought having to pay for wi fi and parking was over doing the charging. It was not that much and in fact I parked my car on the non charging street but it felt like 'every chance to charge' was being bought up and affected the atmosphere.
Limited services Limited staff
Thank you for your welcome! Appreciate that as I was so terribly stressed and damaged!
Price Clean Near to beach
Parking could be free
We like the shower facilities.
We did not think this was good value for money. The cleaniness was very fair as the floor was very sticky and dirty. It could have been more of a higher standard. There could of been more of a selection of breakfast.
All of it
Good location, great staff, great complimentary continental breakfast, nice and comfortable bed, like bathroom & toilet cleanness, extra towels, pillows all was perfect what I needed.
Lynden Court Hotel is a budget hotel but clean and comfortable with kitchen facilities and free tea and coffee. The staff were very friendly, helpful and bent over backwards to help. The car parking was £4 per day but is constantly monitored by cctv. I would happily go back.
Nothing really for a budget hotel
The breakfast room and the layout of the rooms were good
The floor tiles in our room leaked water when standing on a couple of them. There was a fusty damp smell whenever we went back and the plug in the sink got stuck. Had we stayed longer we would have reported this to staff.
The staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming, even to the point of explaining that weekends are usually very noisy due to being regularly booked for hen/stag do's. The room was as requested, ground floor. The room was clean and tidy. Towels were changed daily, even when not needed. Beds were made. We had a squeaky bathroom door, which I mentioned the following day and it was fixed within 30 mins. The breakfast was great, unlimited amounts available. Tea & coffee was available all day in the breakfast area, and you were allowed to take cups to your room. The beach was within walking distance, if capable, if not there were bus stops at the end of the road, (on the main road). There was a microwave to heat up meals if you wanted to. The Lynden is a good basic hotel to stay in, it doesn't make you feel that you need to act with air and graces, you can just chill out.
I wouldn't say there was anything I didn't like about the venue. There's maybe a couple of ideas to improve on what was a nice stay.Tea and coffee in rooms would be nice, but its available anyway, and the second being, having mugs available as well as cup and saucers.
Not a lot
The beds. The location The very small bathroom. The very limited breakfast time window. More like a B 7 B Hostel
Spaceous bedroom Bath in bathroom Comfortable beds
no real coffee at breakfast, only instant! Quite a small breakfast room & places to sit limited.
The staff were friendly and the room was a good size. Was a good location close to the town and the beach
The cleanliness of the room was poor. Whilst the bed sheet and pillowcase was clean, the duvets were covered in stains. The floors and skirting boards were very dirty, & the walls were covered with dirty marks. When we moved a bed it was visable that they were not moved when cleaned. The fixtures and fittings in the room were rusty and old and need relaxing. The tv remotes were caked in dirt. I know the hotel is a budget hotel but it should still be clean
Location OK, Breakfast fair, but OK Cleaning could be better... All in all OK for Price...
They try, by signs, to make guest care for guests trying to sleep, signs do not work... Loud talk, doors slaming, jumping on steps all night long...
The room was quite small for a double. The TV was too high. No tea/coffee facilities in room although you could go to the breakfast room and make some.
Lovely staff and cleanliness
We stayed in ground floor room which was very noisy due to the family above.
Close to beach
Breakfast - no cooked food just toast and cereal
The location of the "hotel" was ecxellent. Just a few minutes away from the Beach and City Centre, the nearest bus transport is reachable in 2 minutes.
The Lynden Court is not worth to be called a real hotel. The room we stayed in was dirty and loud and the furniture especially in the bathroom was battered. The breakfast was nothing special but okay toast, joghurt and cornflakes were served. There was no real room service so that one member of staff gave us a hoover to clean our room by our selves after asking about the room cleaning.
Location is good, breakfast was ok. Staff friendly and helpful.
Creaky bunk beds kept us awake and doors banging through the night. I would not recommend for families, more like for people out for the night clubbing.
