Warm welcome, friendly atmosphere, neat, clean and tidy, comfortable accommodation, good food - we liked!!
Welcoming and friendly reception. Clean and comfortable room with well equipped shower en-suite. Excellent breakfast
Very friendly welcome. Rooms were spotless and beds very comfortable. Hearty breakfast served with a smile.
On our arrival on a scorchingly hot day, we were offered some cool orange and a sit in the shade. That set up the whole stay - the personal touch.
Warm welcome including tea and cake set the tone for our short stay. Well -appointed room and a delicious cooked breakfast served in the comfy lounge for guests. The owners were friendly and helpful with plenty of local knowledge about opening times and locations of places to visit. There were magazines and books to borrow which was handy for a short break as we'd forgotten to pack anything to read. Felt very relaxed with a chilled-out atmosphere. Would like to stay again next time we visit the area.
From the initial welcome at the door to our departure, we were very impressed with the whole package. Thoroughly recommended!
breakfast, comfy bed
Homemade bread for the toast, homemade cake, cookies, jams and marmalade. Lovely friendly welcome from host and hostess. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely people and lovely house.
Everything! Christine and Les were the best hosts, room was perfect and breakfast excellent.
Staff very friendly Breakfast cooked to order and excellent. Comfortable
Very friendly- lovely to be able to chat to the hosts, exceptionally clean, very comfortable, beautiful gardens, good breakfasts.
A couple of newspapers would have been great rather than having to drive to a garage, perhaps a slightly longer breakfast time because we were at a wedding and didn.t get to bed til late.
We enjoyed the warm reception from the Hosts. They run a very well kept B&B which made a pleasurable short break for us. Information provided for guests regarding local walks and nearby evening meal venues was also most welcome.
We had no negative comments about the Lyndhurst Guest House.
Immaculate accommodation with excellent food and very friendly and helpful owners
Arrived after a long journey and greeted with a welcome cup of coffee and a piece of cake. Friendly and knowledgeable hosts superb breakfast every morning and good restaurant recommendations. Excellent accommodation clean and tidy and ideally situated for visiting the area.
Nothing to dislike at all.
We were made most welcome on a wet afternoon with a pot of tea and homemade cake. The rooms were very comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean. Breakfast included homemade bread and preserves. Excellent value.
Very friendly and courteous owners . Extremely comfortable rooms. I needed to stay in advance of an Business event in windermere and it was a perfect stopping point. Breakfast was excellent also.
Not much to mention !
Excellent location, excellent people, excellent service will recommend and will go again
Very friendly owners. Lovely welcome... tea, coffee and cake on arrival. Excellent breakfast including local traditional Lake District food. Beautiful gardens.
Local taxi companies are very reluctant to pick up fares late at night. We were at a wedding celebration a mile or so up the road and the taxi that we had booked earlier in the morning simply failed to turn up at 11 pm. Only one of the three taxi firms we contacted that morning would even consider our business.
Christine couldn't do enough for us ... Her breakfasts, sleeping facilities, general helpfulness about the area and sense of humour could not be faulted.
Made to feel very welcome. Lovely accommodation in beautiful setting.
Good location - near good pubs and main routes. Nice lounge area for guest use.
Staff were particularly friendly, welcoming and helpful. We liked the guest house and the location was perfect for days out and views of the lake and scenery. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend.
Friendly and helpful staff; accommodation & food excellent
Very welcoming hosts. Easy to walk to restaurant. Peaceful location in spite of being on the main road. Easy access to National Trust and English Heritage sites.
Extra touches especially coffee and homemade cake on arrival.
