Location, cleanliness, staff and breakfast
Very helpful and friendly staff Excellent bed and very nice room
Not too keen on the breakfast. Cold beans and nasty sausage
Friendly staff, decent location, lovely historic building. Breakfast was prompt and plentiful, free newspapers to read a bonus. The pub seemed a great place to spend a few hours.
Bathroom dated, a proper shower would be useful, it's basically a handheld one attached to a pole. TV was very small also.
Very homely & friendly, with a busy welcoming bar too.
Not clean 80's decor Tiny TV Carpeted bathroom! Cheap toiletries and refreshments Lots of stairs and no lift
Location to Town Center The room in the annex The staff
wanted to pop over for dinner but bar full up so had to walk into town tv was "minute" and unless looked at head on was unwatchable due to shadowing bathroom a bit small [ but I am quite a big bloke]
the furniture the decorations the bed the bar
the windows were poor isolated so it was really cold in the room.
Really nice friendly, good breakfast, great bar thanks
Fantastic service. Nothing too much trouble with friendly staff all the way. The hotel has a lively bar in the evening and again, all the locals made us feel very welcome. Will definitely stay again when visiting.
It was in the centre and not far from where we were off for a drink and a meal. This is 'quirky' hotel and although it says the rooms were refurbushed in 1996 , I would put it at late 70's! Having said this. I do like hotels like this. That is, individual! No bad thing in my mind. And it was very clean. I love it and will stay there again when I am in Walsall. Breakfast was really good also. A basic large fry up - brilliant!
Just a bit sparse on the parking front. That's all really. For the price it is really good!
central location, excellent accomodating staff, beautiful building to look at from outside, excellent wifi, coffee and tea making facilities
very dated facilities, no fan or air conditioning unit, quite pricey, the room I got was HAUNTED!!!
Location. Very large cooked breakfast.
Only one towel in room for 2. Bathroom very small, shower wasn't high enough for a tall person. Television very small.
Lovely stay, couldn't fault the hotel, very welcoming. Lovely decor and breakfast. our room was excellent. Would definitely recommend the hotel to friends.
The staff made us feel very welcome. One of the finest real pubs comes as part of the package. The breakfast arrangements worked well. All in all, we had a great time!
Brewery delivery at 7.00am. This was out of the control of the pub.
Just a lovely stay all round
Very friendly welcome and wonderful quirky room - wood panels and four poster bed. A good pint and a sunny beer garden round the back.
The room is getting a little frayed at the edges maybe.
Lyndon House is different and all the better for that, since Walsall is a bit of a faceless urban jungle and the Lyndon House is a pleasant escape from it but still central. A popular pub for locals and yet also a quiet hotel. good food and friendly obliging staff. this was just as well as the room that I had reserved and to which I was directed had not been made up on my arrival at 3pm. But I was immediately given another with apologies etc- I somehow doubted that this was the first time this had occurred! Everything else was great from then on and I shall certainly return if in the area. Good food and great breakfast. my second room was in the annexe in the yard and I would ask for that again in future as you can come and go without having to go into the main bar area.
nothing apart from the filthy first room.
I had a lovely stay. Bed was confortable and staff were very pleasant. Nice food. Will come back if in Walsall again
Nice old pub Great breakfast.g
The room was small and tired. The restaurant was closed and only the male dominated, beer smelling bar was open so we had to go out which was a shame as it was raining. It was expensive compared to other local places.
the food, the staff
the noise til 2am
the age of hotel its history it was one of best hotels stayed at great breakfast well worth money would return
luke warm water in the morning
Loved it. Slept well and the lady at breakfast was a cheerful as i have seen. Very nice piece of history in the middle of suburbia.
Not having time to stay for breakfast but next time.
very nice and friendly hotel ,big breakfast to start the day off with endless tea and coffee. if you are there for Sunday remember to book Sunday lunch well worth the money . would recommend to all my friends
Staff are very accommodating - this is unique local experience in the way of a place to stay. Excellent local pub with many great English beers to choose from on tap.
